Overview

Immediately after their marriage in May of 2002, Linda (McBride) Reyes and Javier Reyes learn that their lives are being threatened by an unidentified group. They flee to Mexico’s southern Baja Peninsula where they start a new life with assumed names. As we join them in La Paz five years later, they are about to make an accidental discovery that will change their lives forever.

Linda, Javier and friend Carlos search by land, sea and air for the source of coded messages that are so shocking they must be shared with the world. Meanwhile, far away in the Bahamas, newspaper reporter Alan Larsen uncovers more mysteries than he bargained for when he searches Andros Island for clues about the disappearance of Linda’s former boss, Frank Morton.

About the series:
The Informants is part of a four-book set. The first three each follow a different character through the same exact period of time. Although they are set in remotely distant geographic locations, each of the three story lines intersects with the others, creating a unique reading experience. Read them one at a time, in the normal fashion, or read them in parallel—chapter 1 of each book, then chapter 2 of each book, and so forth.

About the Author

R.J. Archer is a mystery/adventure author, a freelance writer and a retired computer consultant who called the Pacific Northwest home for 39 years. The author and his wife, Marty, currently reside in La Paz, on the shores of the Sea of Cortez at the southern end of Mexico's Baja Peninsula.

His fiction work includes two multi-book series. The Seeds of Civilization series is a trilogy loosely based on the theory that one or more advanced civilizations existed on earth long before the Mesopotamians built their first mud huts. Each Seeds novel is built around a different - but very real - unsolved archaeological mystery.

His second series, called Parallel Ops, spans four novels and takes the theory of ancient civilizations to a whole new level.


His non-fiction works include TheMegaBlog.com, an online chronicle of underwater archaeology activities in the Caribbean, where evidence of a REAL ancient civilization has already been confirmed.

Mr. Archer holds a Bachelor of Science degree with dual majors in Physics and Mathematics and he is a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. His interests include ancient civilizations, inner and outer space and conspiracy theories of all kinds.
