It was supposed to be easy. Hire a professional actor to play my fake fiancé.
But when he steps in front of my door to pick me up for The Interview, my heart stops. Chase Wright is perfect. And hot. I mean like, burn up your dress hot. However, Chase isn't professional at all. I hate what he does to me with his sinfully sexy blue eyes.  I hate that he wants me in his bed.

One month…that's all I need him for. All I have to do is stay out of his bed.

But the rules slowly begin to change. My fake fiancé suddenly becomes my fake husband. When Chase offers me an indecent proposal, it's too late to fire him.
It's too late to decline.

It was a good story. Original idea which was nice. Laurie was a little hard to like tho. She's awkward and not easy to get to relate to. The author says its a full length novel. It was 140 pages and leaves you hanging waiting for the next book. Why can't authors just finish the story? I would rather pay more and finish the story. Not sure I will wait around for the next book, which will undoubtedly lead to the next book and so on.

I enjoyed the book, strong characters with a twist of suspense. Only complaint I have to wait till Spring to find out what's going on. I'd gladly pay more money to have a complete story told in one book !!!!

Wow! I had no idea what to expect when I first picked up this book. I thought it would be yet another romance story. But oh, my, god! What a surprise. This story...blew me away. It was original, funny, romantic, and sexy. I loved every second and would recommend this book to everyone.

Meet Chase Wright: he’s perfect. He’s handsome. He’s hot. He’s an actor. He’s Laurie’s fake fiancé. It was supposed to be a simple job: introduce him to her stepfather, get what she wants and have a clean break. But the longer Chase stays in her life, the more entangled he becomes, and the more danger he poses into her heart. He knows he affects her, and he does not apologize about it. I love how he teases her, how he tries to get her off her comfort zone. He knows what he wants, and he’s willing to get it. But not force it. He will take his time – but meanwhile, he was content on teasing her. The mystery surrounding the handsome Chase and her stepfather had me hooked into this book. Who is Chase? What is with her stepfather? What’s in those mysterious letters that she wanted to bad enough to hire a fake fiancé? Although, it would have been an added bonus to have Chase’s POV somewhere in between, a sneak peek tells us that we wouldn’t wait too long. This ends in a cliffy, so for those who don’t fancy that kind of ending, better be warned. J.C. Reed writes great plot when it comes to mystery, imagine when she’s paired with another author, Jackie Steele? Additional mystery, suspense, thrill and steam. I enjoyed reading this novel, all those baffling mystery behind, the danger that is lurking around them, and the attraction that's too strong it's impossible to ignore.

I loved this book. I found the beginning a bit slow, but by chapter one I was hooked! It thought it was the right amount of everything. So glad that they ended up together at the end of this book!

This was just what I needed! Funny, romantic, sexy and an awesome guy. Not too intense, but a good story. Strong female lead.

So good! The playful bickering, the hot steamy toe curling scenes, the angst. *sigh* I may just have to re-read this one at a later date...

Indecent proposal is a wonderful read. The emotional pull in this book is intense and I would not have it any other way. I always love a HEA, and this book had the perfect ending.

I absolutely loved this book! Laurie and Chase's story is an emotional, passionate, and beautiful story. I laughed. I cried. and screamed. And I loved every minute.

J.C. Reed, you can write! I knew this already. It’s really a simple fact. However, damn! What an emotional, and enthralling read! I won't go into plot detail, but I will say this. IT'S A STORY THAT HAD ME INVESTED FROM THE BEGINNING. I WON'T FORGET IT EASILY, and I KNOW ALREADY I WILL READ IT AGAIN.

I loved loved loved this story. It's well written and scorching HOT. The S.E.X. scenes kept me glued to the screen. I'll watch out for more by those two authors. Must read.

A Tease!   Favorite Quotes: “I’m not like other men.  I don’t want to do anything that could hurt you, Laurie.” “For a few long moments, we just started at each other in silence, the air between us thick like winter’s fog.  I knew if I dared to walk in, I might get lost forever.” “Wearing my clothes suits you.  You know what was in those shorts?  Now they’re brushing your skins.  It’s almost like I’m touching you… down there.” My Review: An Indecent Proposal is my first read for either author, and I had no idea that J.C. Reed or Jackie Steele were going to be such evil teases!  The story is interesting if not a tad familiar (fake boyfriend), but it does have its own twists and tweak’s to keep it fresh.  I felt teased as the main story was rather slow to develop, and the characters did not kiss until 70% into the book, or share an intimate moment until I was at the 90% mark.  Say what now?  Yet the story held my interest, despite the fact that I found the main female character annoying and mousy… I wanted to give her a good pinch – or ten.  Although the dreaminess of the mouth-watering man-meat more than made up for her less than pleasing attributes.  But I have yet another issue… I am stewing at the ending… there wasn’t one… it just stopped.  I despise cliffhangers with the heat of a thousand suns, I resent them more than bratty children throwing tantrums in movie theaters, or babies screaming on an airplane… but damn… I fear I am hopelessly on the hook, caught in the trap, snagged in the net.  I want to know what happens to this pitifully weak girl and her hunky store-bought boyfriend… and I really must know what is under the surface of that sinister step-father and his sleazy lawyer.  UUHHHG, enquiring minds want to know - and that is something I have always been plagued with.  Those wicked writers played me - but I fell for it, and I fell hard.  Sigh… sign me up for Book 2 please.

“You’ll have to get used to your needs,” he whispered. “If you don’t listen to your body, your passion will make you unhappy, and I can’t afford that.” My review: I thoroughly enjoyed the story in An Indecent Proposal, and in the hours I spent reading, I got to know Laurie and Chase very well. There is chemistry between them and there is plenty of sexual tension filled throughout the book. My body wanted him and only him....

Loved this story, but hate that it ends before the story is over!!! Last time I checked, you can not get the next book, as B and N does not have it. I doubt that I will be buying more from this author, even though I really like the writing style. Really tired of not getting the complete story when I buy a book.

I know I read this story before.. ..must be under a different title. I keep a list of all my nook purchases and this book and 'That Guy' is on my list. Very confusing....but a good story.

The story sounded very interesting but I will not be buying this book for the reason only 140 pages and not complete I refuse to buy these never ending cliff hangers anymore.
