The second book in The Endgame Trilogy is even more riveting than the first. Warren’s ability to describe her characters, their thoughts and their surroundings are amazing. And while Gabriel, the rather overbearing male in this trilogy, is a bit irritating, their need to protect their women is admirable. I’m looking forward to the final book in the trilogy.

It wasn't supposed to be like this for Avery. Life held so much promise even after the loss of her mother at an early age. Daddy was always there, to take care of, pamper, and protect her as his princess, until he wasn't. It has all been stripped away and now he lies a broken shell unable to help keep the wolves at bay and protect the castle from the debtors so Avery must. Time to make a deal before all is lost. Even if it means making a deal with the devil will it be enough to save her? This is the first of The End Game trilogy. I would recommend reading The Prince first as a background on the dangerous world Avery throws herself into, but it is not necessary to enjoy this series. Once begun, you will be captivated and drawn forward through Avery and Gabriel's twisted tale. Pawn Knight Castle

The Knight by Skye Warren is a seductive romance that gives the reader a peek into the dark mysteries and betrayals of the rich and privileged. I enjoyed The Pawn, but The Knight was so much more exciting and revealing in my opinion. I devoured every new little revelation about Gabriel's past and the mystery surrounding Avery's family. The many twists and turns of this story kept me guessing at what was going to happen next and loving every minute of this book.

How did Avery's last name change from "James" to "St. James" between book one and book two?

Gobbled up this book just like I did The Pawn...and I wasn't at all disappointed. Skye Warren has kept this story moving along at breakneck speed---and now I have to wait for the next book (already ordered)...

I fell in blissful love with Gabriel and Avery in THE PAWN, but in this second installment of the Endgame series, I became downright ADDICTED. I've never seen an author use words as both weapons and to calm the way Skye Warren does. In THE KNIGHT we're brought back to the heart-wrenching tale of Avery's life. Her virginity's been sold and taken, though the latter was completely are her own will when the time came, and Gabriel was just as willing to take it. But they weren't meant to be. Or so they thought. There was too much baggage. Life got in the way in the cruelest of possibilities. Yet, it's impossible to for their gazes to not touch, their bodies to not gravitate toward one another, and their souls to not positively demand to be close. It was the perfect and more wicked storm. But together they found their own calm, their own space away from the evil of the world that was trying to drown them. But the real world insists on their presence. And with it comes secrets and hurt neither of them could possibly understand or expect. Will the same fate that has hung over their heads throughout this story befall these two, whom have already experienced enough heartache for a lifetime? That's a story for the next installment, but as for THE KNIGHT you better hold on to your favorite BOB and learn to regulate your heart, because the last 20% of this book alone will blow your ever-loving mind. Skye Warren, thanks for the most epic of book hangovers, love! Happy Reading! *ARC provided by the author in exchange for an honest review*

Avery is picking up the pieces after Gabriel pushes her away. While Avery tries to avoid Gabriel,he's always there tormenting her, making her want him. We see Avery try to rescue her home at auction, somewhere she feels close to her mother, but what once was a fortress and castle for the fallen princess now might hide dark secrets. Gabriel seems to be the dark Knight waiting to make his move to get his queen, but it seems Avery is still pretty much a pawn is this wicked game. The Endgame series is totally enthralling it demands your attention and untimely you are drawn in to this dark and devious game. I love the interaction between Gabriel and Avery, you get to see the fire, passion and love and I cant wait for more.

The Knight By: Skye Warren A 5 Star Review by Kristie K The knight is without peer as an unmasker of attacks. His move is unusual among chess pieces…moving alternately to light and dark. A knight should always be close to where the action is, best used where the opponent’s pieces are clustered. Skye Warren continues her dark seduction with the next installment in the Endgame series. Picking up exactly where we left off at the end of The Pawn, Ms. Warren draws us right back into the tangled web of lies, deceit, and danger that envelops Tanglewood’s high society elite. The game Gabriel Miller was playing is far from over, and the secrets that destroyed the St. James family name continue to be unveiled. Just when it seems like she has no one to turn to, Avery finds her dark knight… Oh. My. God… Ms. Warren is seriously trying to kill me. If I thought The Pawn was addictive, The Knight is a new form of crack. The game continues to play out, every move strategically executed to get the desired result. The battle between titans is far from over, and new enemies lurk in dark corners and behind the faces of those we least expect. The dark desires that both Gabriel and Avery harbor simmer just beneath the surface. Every encounter is charged with an electric energy that neither understands, but it can’t be denied. When they give in, the chemistry and passion are combustible. Goodbye panties. Ms. Warren has outdone herself with this series. The plot continues to flow seamlessly, with a completely enthralling storyline that grips you by the throat and doesn’t let go. The unconfined passion between Avery and Gabriel sparks heat deep within your soul, and encourages you to question the boundaries of sex, love, and desire. The character development and writing are without a doubt some of the best I’ve seen. With another cliffhanger, and yet another massive book hangover, Ms. Warren has left me truly desperate for more. A true master at her craft, Ms. Warren is playing a strategic and perfectly delicious game…Knight takes Rook. Kristie K.
