About the Author

Todd VanHooser was born and raised in Missouri, and has been telling stories in one form or another his entire life. His Bachelor of Arts was earned at the University of Missouri where he majored in English with an emphasis on creative writing. His Midwest upbringing was the inspiration behind the setting of the stories found here in The Lamplighter Collection. He is a literature and creative writing teacher and the author of a fantasy series called The Laughing Moon Chronicles. Currently he lives in Glendale, Arizona with his wife and son.

When Todd VanHooser tells a story, he immediately transports you to the tiny town in Missouri, or the world in a universe yet to be discovered. His understanding of the complexities of human nature provide the reader with stories with unexpected twists. Ghost stories and gruesome tales do not emerge from the urban backyards, but the small towns around America, where you hear the coyote's in the middle of the night, or where the fog slowly creeps in the old cemeteries by the creek.
