The hero in the story was one hell of a lucky man. He studied in Japan and graduated from an university there. Very few could go abroad to study at those times. Besides, his not-so-lovely wife from an arranged marriage died from an unexpected accident not long after he had graduated from school. Soon, he got married to a young, intelligent woman just out of secondary school. With a large sum of money he had inherited from his wealthy father, he moved to a fabulous house in Seoul to start a new life with his perfect wife. As expected, they hired two maids for the housework and meals. The couple had practically nothing else to do except playing the card game, reading books, talking, loving each other. Then one day, his smart wife thought up a brilliant item to add to their ideal home: The piano. Now, the piano would bring them more joy to them. It turned out that the piano would indeed give them happiness, only in a peculiar way.
