The Medium Within
It is my hope that this book will help you understand the workings of Mediumship, and that each of you can redevelop the skills that have been dormant for many years and reopen your communication with your loved ones on the other side. As we redevelop the Mediumistic part of ourselves, our Spirit Guides will be there with us every step of the way, and we should use them whenever we are moved to do so. I always tell my students, if they are asked to serve at churches or other functions, to never say “no” if at all possible. They are advised to call upon their Spirit Guides and go for it! Remember, it is your love for the work and people that you meet that will allow the spirit to help you do the work in a professional manner. If you keep saying “no,” your guides and helpers will feel that you truly do not want to do the work, and will in time just back away and leave you alone.
The very first thing I want to confess to you is that I came into this work kicking and challenging every word of my teacher and the books that I read told me. I did not want to believe in this, let alone do the work. Coming from a Catholic background, it was hard to accept the fact that I or anyone else could communicate with the so-called dead. Several years later, I did just that. As a professional, I can see the reality of it. I am glad that I stuck it out, and that my teacher stayed with me in the process of rounding out my knowledge of a new concept.
