As a result of expermination, by mistake, many US soldiers were subjected to the harmful effects. One such vet was William Patterson. Patterson for no reason, shot and killed three Maryland State Troopers. The winding story deveopled into a legal battle brought on by a public defender who with the help of friends of Patterson staged a defense that led up to a sensational trial.
