The Old Mill

Bored with just sitting, Rachael wandered off aimlessly toward the undergrowth behind them. Something caught her eye through the bushes. She ducked under a branch and stepped into another clearing. She saw what appeared to be an old mill or factory, on the other side of the clearing It was old and dilapidated, obviously not used anymore. It was quite a large building. There was no paint left on the old weatherboards. An old sign hung by only one nail above the door, and most of the writing had faded over time so much that it was indistinguishable now. A weird feeling washed over her as she drew nearer. She shivered involuntarily then stopped for a few seconds, but then felt compelled to go on until she was standing in front of the old wooden door, scarred with time. Her fingers tingled with anticipation as she struggled to open it. Rachael was always a curious person, sometimes too curious for her own good. The door had obviously not been opened for a very, long time, but it eventually gave way, groaning resentfully, as she forced it open.
