The Red Square
The Red Square is a novelette that relates the trials of an American secret agent in Moscow. He was sent after hasty preparations and a briefing of a few sentences, with an assurance that his operator will be in touch with him from time to time, and instruct him with additional missions, according to events and developments.
After a boring month in Moscow in which nothing much happens, he meets at last his operator, who tells him to his utter surprise how dissatisfied are his superiors in Langley. He realizes after that sole and bizarre meeting that he was chosen to serve as scapegoat to a premeditated failure, which would serve as a pretext to oust the big boss by his ambitious deputy.
Except this espionage novelette, the thriller The Red Square includes an anthology of 13 short stories, dedicated as mentioned above to intelligence, espionage, suspense and adventure.

Below is a short paragraph of one of the short stories represented in this thriller:
While brooding indecisively he watched his guest's features in quite another light. He had to make an effort to hide the relish at his guest's misfortunes. For despite their friendship he envied that ex nobody who came out of the gutter and soared up like a comet; while he in spite of his noble descent, his education, and current office never reached so much fame as this uneducated Fellach (farmer). Thus he calmed his guest down with a few words of praise and encouragement, and promised to examine his guest's request and update him in a few days' time.

I could have seen it on maps much earlier, that's true, but realizing it was a stunning experience. I visited Africa east and west and was enchanted by the landscapes, the wildlife, the rain forests, its diverse population; I've visited Europe and was awed and inspired by humanity's achievements, the richness of culture and tradition; the museums, the cathedrals, the architecture old versus modern. I've learned the meaning of what a masterpiece is, spending hours before huge incredibly beautiful paintings and sculpture; wondering how on earth they have managed to do it. The huge cities, the way of life the beautiful languages, the customs, it left its marks on me and is the cause no doubt to my own efforts and to what I'm trying to reach up to this very day.
I'm married to Mira Kadman, we live in the town of Petach Tikva, near Tel Aviv where I was born, brought up and educated.
My interest in art and literature isn't limited to enjoying it as a bystander. I've had five art exhibitions in my country, served as an art critic and I'm a published author. Since 1987 I've written and published 20 books.
