Overview

A young woman stumbles out of a bar onto the street curb after throwing up and passing out. She is 'saved' by someone, a vampire that has been watching her, wanting her for his own. He decides making her a vampire would give him a great companion but she is turned into a vampire against her will once she realizes it. She is constantly haunted by her maker throughout her ordeals as she fights against her very being at first. She meets a fellow vampire who shows her how fun being a vampire can really be by dropping out of classes and traveling the world with him seeing things people have only dreamed of under the dark of night. Again, her maker continues to haunt her and plague her mind. She goes on her own for awhile, leaving her male friend behind and meets a new female friend who teaches her a lot. She begins to learn her place in her horror of a world. Finally, she finds true love, but he is mortal and she is a vampire. Will it ever work? Will their love endure? About the Author

Jodie Pierce is thirty-seven years old and lives with her hubby, John in Cleveland, Ohio along with four beautiful step-children. She has had a fascination with vampires since they were introduced to her as a child and has had a long history with them. It wasn't until she started reading the Anne Rice vampire books that she was truly inspired. She was an exchange student in Brasil in high school so you can find some of her experiences from there in her stories. Many of her stories have historical or researched facts as she also enjoys research and learning about new places. She has published five short novels(Eternal Press), a short story in "Midnight Thirst 2", an anthology(Melange Books), has two self-published books and has several short stories that she still works on. She's always busy with the next great vampire story as her mind is non-stop and even plagues her dreams.
