After having shin pain for a couple of years, I'm finally seeing improvement, thanks to The Shin Splint Manual. My lower legs are now close to pain-free. The exercises contained in this manual are simple yet effective, and would've been nice to know about several years ago. "Shin splints" describes a few different types of shin trauma, and it's important to know which type you're afflicted with, to deal with it specifically and how to then prevent the other types. This book explains the dynamics of how shin splints occur, in a clear and easy-to-read approach. Now I finally understand the different types of shin splints and how to address each one, which is invaluable for a runner and hiker like me. There's plenty of confusing and conflicting advice out there on how to heal from shin splints. In my opinion, this book clears most of that confusion up. This is the best book on the market for shin splint home treatment.
