But the friends that rescued them offer help and a way out, even if it means revealing the deep and terrible secrets of their past. As they try to snare the men stalking them, they begin to learn of their bizarre past, who they really are and how it all interlinks into a masterfully concocted criminal underworld. Using their unique skills they go head to head to expose this vicious criminal and try to make right the worst kind of betrayal.

About the Author

My name is Pip. Ive lived in the States on and off ever since I could have a glass of wine. I was in Europe before that searching for the endless winter. I was a competitive freeskier for over a decade and represented my country until a few years ago.
I live half the year in the snow and half the year in the sand. I am a big dreamer and I'm pretty sure that will never go away. I dream of sand these days and hope one day my feet can be buried in it daily. I married a snowboarder/surfer, so I'm hoping between us one day we will find the right place to stay for good.
During a dry winter 2012, I sat down and wrote The Snowball Effect. It had been floating in my mind for months, so I finally put fingers to keyboard and went for it.
Since then I have written the sequel and published it while in the Dominican Republic surfing in mid 2013, it is called The School and I like it even more. The story goes deeper into the past and becomes more complex as new characters are introduced. I really enjoyed writing this one and I am already working on the third in what is now called the Kovak Files, Misty Hill. Read on to find out what it all means.....
It is the first time I have ever written anything! I think it's great there's a place like smashwords to give indie authors a place to show their work. I hope you like it.
Feel free to write to me, I'd love to hear what you thought. pippagordons@gmail.com
