The Society
Jane Doe was one of the forgotten. Having lived her life without apparently creating a ripple in anyone else's existence, she died a horrifying, early death frightened and alone. Lobotomized, vivisected, and left to rot 'neath the cyclopean Mt. Ys, Jane left no clue as to who she was or why she was murdered. Assigned to the case, Detective Inspector Pik Van der Tass could only pray that he'd never have to investigate something as horrific as her death ever again.

Two weeks later...another body appeared.

Same modus operandi...or was it? The details differed in ways that complicated the theory that both murders were committed by the same person. Nonetheless, they held enough commonalities to drive the investigators towards a single, monstrous conclusion: there wasn't one murderer, but two...
Unbeknownst to the police, however, there was someone else in the picture, someone who took a dim view of the murderers' actions, which threatened to lift the veil on a centuries-old conspiracy; a secret society that would do anything to keep its place in the shadows.

And that's when the true horror began...
