The Story of the Pig
Have you ever wondered why animals behave or have certain physical appearances? Growing up in Sapele, Delta State in Nigeria (West Africa), although in the city, farm animals were ever present. Pigs roamed the market place landfills- where piles of rubbish/garbage was and mud. I was always curious about why pigs were often the only animals that seemed to delight in searching through trash and mud. I was curious about why. This book is the story of the pig and why it behaves the way it does. It is a story created by my maternal grandmother- who was a teacher and healer. She was a mystical woman and the stories she created have been passed down from generation to generation in my home. Her stories made sense of the world to me and now I hope they make sense of the world to you. ENJOY!

About the Author

I have been writing since I was a child. Believing that all things in this universe are connected, I aspire to continue to study all subjects, although my love is language, philosophy, religion, sociology, history, science and law. I think the mind should always remain curious that inspires knowledge. My formal education is in international politics and law but I have worked as an English teacher. As an Albert Schweitzer Fellow in law school, I created a creative writing and critical thinking program for children- teaching in Junior Secondary/Middle School and later in the YWCA Community center, teaching children from 5 years to 10 years old. This book is dedicated to my mother, maternal grandmother and maternal great grandmother. Stories were created from their imagination and passed down from generation to generation. Their stories created my lenses.
