You met, and fell in love with, PJ Mouse in book #1, 'The Travel Adventures of PJ Mouse - In Canada'. Now, come join PJ Mouse on this, his second adventure, along the coast of Queensland, Australia, as he snorkels at the Great Barrier Reef, chats with a Loggerhead turtle in the midst of a great undertaking, and explores the tropical rainforest - until he has to be rescued by one of the local friendly wildlife. Upon his return home he finds that Fuzzy Beast has made a new friend, and PJ is not sure what to think.

If you have not already met PJ Mouse, he is a cute, slightly featherbrained, stuffed animal, that travels everywhere with Emily and her family. He was lost and alone, wet and bedraggled, until Emily found him and took him home. Now, as he travels the world, he must overcome his fears of the unknown, and in doing so, trust others to help him out when needed. As well, he discovers some amazing places and creatures, and learns that some of these need our help to survive.

This series of travel adventures is designed to be educational and fun for the young reader. As well, kids can get their very own PJ Mouse (beanie style stuffed animal), along with his passport and stickers, so they can track the trips as they learn about the places visited.

About the Author

I am married with 4 children and currently live in Victoria, B.C.. I love travelling and I love kids, specially my own. Our family trips are my inspiration as they are some of the best memories of my life. The time spent together gives us a wonderful family bond and the education my kids have from their trips is invaluable. Having travelled the world fairly extensively, I started to write in order to share with children how amazing our world is and how important it is to look after it and appreciate what we have. I have had so many people over the years tell me that they did not want to go to a certain place because of a fear of something.... ex. "I would never go to Australia because it is full of snakes and spiders". Yes, Australia does have snakes and spiders, but in the 5 years I lived in Australia I saw one snake and never encountered a poisonous spider. Driving in L.A. is kind of crazy, in my opinion, but do people not go to L.A. because it has cars? I want to encourage kids to not live in fear of the unknown. We miss out on so much in life if we live in fear. Our world is incredible.....explore, appreciate, and care for it and each other. I hope my books will inspire you and bring you enjoyment. Sincerely, Jane

I hope to visit Australia someday Australia is one of my bucket list. I wish I could visit this beautiful country someday. This book The Travel Adventures of PJ Mouse in Queensland is such a fun book to read not only for kids but also for adults. I LOVED how the illustrator did with the second book. it turned out so beautiful. The book is so full of adventures. It is fun to read PJ's adventures in Australia. You will also learned animals that you only found in Australia. The best travel experienced without living your house. Kids will learned everything from geography to animals. This is one of the best kids book to read especially if travelling for the first time. It is perfect to bring a toy with them while traveling. My daughter brought one stuff animals but lost it somewhere in Japan airport. This book especially the first one reminds me of her travel experienced three years ago. Disclosure: I received the paperback copy of the books to read. All my thoughts and opinions are 100% honestly mine.

In the Travel Adventures of PJ Mouse in Queensland, we hop on a plane with PJ and his family and head for his second adventure. This time we went to Queensland, Australia. I have always wanted to visit Australia so this was a fun little story book to read to my son about the different things PJ mouse was able to do in that far off country. In this second story, PJ seems much more at home with his family and really excited to try out all the new and fun things. As in the first, we learned a little bit more about a country and what it has to offer if we are able to visit there one day. Our favorite chapter was the one where PJ goes to the amusement park and rides the Tower of Terror. My little guy could relate to that. Again, the lovely illustrations were done by the author’s daughter in the sweet, simple style of the first book and PJ again found himself in interesting situations. I look forward to more PJ Mouse and his adventures while traveling with his family. I received a copy of the book for an honest review from iRead Book Tours and the opinions are my own.

The adventure continues for PJ the Mouse in the second book in the series which takes him and his family to Queensland, Australia. This time they take a huge plane and PJ is a bit worried about how something that big can stay in the air. Soon though he is distracted, and starts having a great time. The trip takes him on great adventures. He and his family visit the Great Barrier Reef and the rainforest, two places I’d love to see myself. Like in the first book in the series, the illustrations by Megan are adorable. Not only is this a really cute story that I think all children will love, I think adults as well as children will love learning all the information about Queensland. I’d definitely recommend this book as well as The Travel Adventures of PJ Mouse: In Canada

Enjoy further travel adventures with PJ Mouse... The Travel Adventures of PJ Mouse In Queensland By Gwyneth Jane Page Illustrated by Megan Elizabeth PJ is about to go on his second major adventure with Emily and her family. This time PJ's adventure is taking him to Australia and he is going by airplane! And even more amazing he's leaving Canada in winter and arriving in Australia in summer. Australia is an amazing land - there is a something called the Great Barrier Reef. Clear turquoise water filled unusual fish of different sizes and shapes. And PJ discovers the dangers of a rip tide. On land he explores Mt. Tamborine - a rain-forest filled with tall trees and colourful birds. Traveling adventures with PJ Mouse introduce young readers to new worlds through a funny story with delightful illustrations that children will love. The illustrations are simple with the appearance of using either crayon, pastels, or color pencils. This book is broken down into chapters so one could read a chapter at night before bed making this an 8 night reading experience. A perfect group present for the entire family to share and enjoy together. I was provided a copy of this book by the author through iRead Book Tours in exchange for my honest review.

Lost and then found, PJ Mouse, the delightful talking stuffed animal, is off on another adventure. Follow him as he explores Queensland, by land and by sea. Another wonderful chapter in this adventure series. Never having been to Australia, I especially enjoyed the watercolor illustrations. PJ is so adorable and the places he explores are beautifully depicted. Follow PJ as he swims with sea turtles, hitches a ride on a Lorikeet, and winds up in a bit of a pickle. PJ was his usual adorable self and I smiled a lot, wishing I had a young one to read this to. This is another book your children will be wanting to explore again and again.

I think I have a new favorite children’s book! I read The Travel Adventures of PJ Mouse by myself since I had to write the review, but I look forward to reading these with the kids – all three of them! I am certain all three will love them! The illustrations in The Travel Adventures of PJ Mouse in Queensland are almost better than when he was in Canada!! Absolutely stunning! During this travel, PJ gets to go to Queensland, Australia. I have to admit, Australia is somewhere I have always wanted to visit so it was fun to live the adventure through a “funny little mouse.” PJ gets to go snorkeling and wake boarding. He visits the rain forest. He flies in a plane. He gets to have so many adventures and kids get to go with him as they read along!
