About the Author

Lynn Hollyfield has been songwriting since her teens. As a performing songwriter she is known for her warm stage presence and her way of capturing observations of the world and creating a story in song. Lynn, grew up on Staten Island and never having had a treehouse, she takes us there in song. She married a carpenter, moved to a rural, woodsy area in Southern MD, had two children and still no tree house! She knows there's always a way and The Tree, The Ship and Me was born. More about Lynn and her music at: www.LynnHollyfield.com
Lona Powell's first treehouse was an outgrown wooden playpen that her father put up in a tree. Later, she build a treehouse in a sturdy oak for her own children. She lives in a wooded area in Accokeek, Maryland, with her husband and her dog. This is her third illustrated book.
