The Wall
The year was 1966 and Mark "Doc' Holliday was an All-American college football star whose life was turned upside down when his soul-mate was tragically killed in an automobile accident. This caused Doc to turn away from everything that was in his 'perfect life'. President Lyndon Johnson had a solution for Doc and his problems. Something that Doc hadn't seen coming; that was to draft him into the Army and send him off to Vietnam. It was there that Doc saw some of the most horrible things imaginable to a human being. Just when he thought that everything was over for him - a new, but strangely similar life began. That was when he knew that something was terribly wrong. Going to a VA hospital, he learned that he was living with PTSD. The doctor told him that he had to face his mental horrors, or else. About the Author

Aaron McCammon is not only the author of this novel but he is also the individual that actually lived through many of these situations. Starting out as a college football player, then getting drafted, then going to Vietnam and then - well, he had his issues.
But all ended well - he became a well respected author of several textbooks and graduate papers in his field. He has also spent a long career in the nation's reserve military forces and retired as a full Colonel. He has many, many awards come his way over the years both in his career field and also in the military. He is the author of two more novels and will be releasing them soon.
