About the Author

Amer Kaissi, PhD, is a professor in the department of healthcare administration at Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas. Dr. Kaissi teaches courses in leadership, coaching, and public speaking. From 2015 to 2022, he served as the director of the executive program at Trinity. Since 2015, he has also served as an adjunct faculty member at the University of Colorado– Denver MBA program in healthcare administration. A certified executive coach, Dr. Kaissi works with healthcare executives to help them maximize their leadership impact. Kenneth R. White, PhD, APRN-BC, FACHE, FAAN, is professor emeritus in the Department of Health Administration at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia; University of Virginia Medical Center professor emeritus in the School of Nursing at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, Virginia; and dean emeritus in the School of Nursing at the MGH Institute of Health Professions in Boston, Massachusetts. Dr. White has more than 50 years of experience in healthcare organizations in clinical, administrative, governance, academic, and consulting capacities.
