The Winds Of Fate Edited
A woman's desperate attempt to escape an arranged marriage leads to adventure she never could have imagined in Elizabeth St. Michel's riveting new novel, The Winds of Fate.

Claire Hamilton will do anything to avoid marrying the vile duke to whom her uncle has her betrothed--including marrying convicted felon Dr. Devon Blackmon, a prisoner in Newgate Prison.
In retaliation, Claire is banished to the wild outpost of Jamaica, where on impulse she buys a slave of her own, only to discover that she has inadvertently bought her own husband--a move that does anything but endear him to his new "wife."
Forced together in order to fight the deadly plague ravaging the island, Claire and Blackmon slowly develop a forbidden friendship that neither expected. Wildly untrusting on both sides, they struggle to navigate their newfound positions--until Blackmon seizes a chance to escape, soon rising to fame as the Black Devil Pirate, commanding his Caribbean kingdom and striking fear in the crowned heads of Europe.
But the outlaw is not finished with Claire yet, as their paths eventually cross once again and Blackmon takes her captive.
Caught in a war between France, England, and their own hearts, will Claire and Blackmon survive?

About the Author

Elizabeth St. Michel was born and raised in western New York where deep blue lakes and high Allegheny Mountains were her playground. Long winters and wonderful summers cultivated her love of books.

As a child she was blessed with a vivid imagination. Her young friends begged for the stories she spun, spellbound for hours—so she earned the title of “storyteller.” From the fleeting glimpse of childhood came adulthood with a variety of careers. The business world dawned and then marriage and motherhood, all building blocks for a storyteller to emerge as a novelist.

For her…well, it was coming home.

St. Michel earned a BS degree from St. John Fisher College and has written steadily ever since. She has won various writing contests, including the Valley Forge, Golden Palm, and SOLA, and has appeared as a finalist for the Amazon Breakthrough Novel Award.

St. Michel has five children and divides her time between New York and the Caribbean.
