The Witness-Issues: Responsibility

A short inspirational short story. Jimmy Johnston, a fifth grader just got a D on his homework paper. He was in trouble. But he didn't know what trouble was until he tried going down Maple Street again. Ralph and Marty lived on Maple Street, and they were older and much meaner than anyone he knew. Because he was late getting home, he took the short-cut and went down Maple Street one more time. Ralph and Marty were out in the street, and to Jimmy's surprise they were beating up a kid about his age.

Jimmy had just become a witness and he had no idea what the right thing to do was. On one hand he wanted to help the kid, on the other, he wanted to stop Ralph and Marty. Still, what was the right thing to do?

About the Author

Hi friends Okay as a Christmas present to my readers all children's, young adult, and adult short stories are on sale here for .99 cents. Also my single titles here are on sale for .99 cents. So get them while the sale lasts. To my fellow authors I'd say it does pay to watch what your sales are doing, who is buying what and what types of your books they seem to like. By doing this you can manage a backlist better and actually make more sales. I'm hoping like all of you that Kobo begins to pay off. Wal-mart could be a good distributor but I have found it takes about six months to two years to see a real movement. As for a bio, suffice it to say, I'm a Texan tried and true. I have grown children and grandchildren and already some great-grandchildren. I've done multi jobs in my lifetime giving me a variety of experiences to write and talk about. I've done many different kinds of work from Texas Instruments, to City of Garland, to working for the Wylie Independent School District. I've worked for a hat factory, filing insurance claims, secretarial work, to waitress work. My writing reflects my varied background. Another note I've had a in home day care for twenty years too. So when I write about something I have a general knowledge of it too, which is a real bonus for me. Just like my public work, my writing varies too from contemporary to historical, I write romance, thrillers, children's. A lot of people might say gee, that's a lot of different jobs, and it is, but, I've learned from them all, and I use that experience in my writing. I want to thank all the readers over a length of time that have tried some of my books. I hope I've enlightened and entertained you. I hope I've shared some love in this world. Sharing love can't be bad, it's God given. God bless.
