About the Author

In 2001 and 2008 he placed in the top 100 twice out 19,000 and 17,000 participants in the Writers' Digest TV/Movie writing competition. He has a song he wrote on You Tube (Ain't Got Time For No Foolishness). Wilson is an alumnus of Johnson C. Smith University where he majored in Communication Arts and is an alumnus of The LongRidge Writers Group. He has written numerous songs and screenplays and where he was born and raised in Sumter, SC, things actually went bump in the night. He collects comics from the mid 60's, 70's and 80's and believes that's when comics were worth reading. He also collects two dollar bills. Wilson lives in Charlotte, NC with his family. --

" Im not going to spill the beans too much about this book because I don't want to ruin it for you and to some extent, I also don't think I can ever do it justice. Things That Go Bump In The Night: Here There Be Monsters is achingly, genuinely beautiful, while Wilson Jackson's writing is fluid and incredibly descriptive.

It is a classic suspense horror thriller. It all started when Jalen, a young attorney, and his fiancée were out camping in the woods. All of a sudden, Jalen was attacked and got bitten by some beast in the middle of night. He got through the attack. However, things started to get creepy when his wounds disappeared out of nowhere. This begins his bizarre double-life which he absolutely knows nothing about. Meanwhile, a serial killer is also on the loose leaving weird poems to his victims. It was a hell of a roller coaster ride for Police Captain Frank Penn to solve the case especially after knowing one of the killers is his own nephew.

Jackson seemed to really know the art of well-timed revelation, waiting until just the precise moment to let something slip, gives a different angle, or totally blow your mind. I read it slowly because each chapter gave me something to think about. Either it's a new hint to the mystery, or a secret finally told, that I wanted to contemplate for a while. When I finished reading, I closed the book, let out a big sigh of contentment and sadness at the same time. From the length of my exhalation, I realized I must have held my breath for half the book.

Overall, I would highly recommend this book to anyone who loves fantasy, thriller, paranormal and mystery. It is definitely a must-read!"
