Overview

"Thou shalt not kill" is a fundamental rule laid down in the Ten Commandments and resonating throughout Western culture. But immediately after Moses brought the tablets down from Mt. Sinai he slaughtered thousands for the sin of sacrilege, including children, family, and friends. This is the essential paradox of our nation that bases its morality on biblical teachings but uses deadly force as an instrument of politics.
