From New York Times & USA Today Bestseller, Vi Keeland, comes a steamy new romance novel.

The rules:

No dating.
No sex outside of the game.
No disclosing the terms of the contract.

Rules were made to be broken, right?

Eight weeks ago I signed a contract. One that seemed like a good idea at the time. A handsome bachelor, luxury accommodations, and a chance to win a prize my family desperately needed. There were some rules though. Lots of them actually. Follow the script, no dating, sex, or disclosing the terms of the deal. After my self-imposed moratorium on men the last year, it wouldn't be hard to live up to my end of the I thought. Until I realized the deal I'd made was with the devil...and I was in love with his dirty-talking brother.

Author's note – Throb is a full-length standalone novel. Due to strong language and sexual content, this book is not intended for readers under the age of 18.

## Wow. Tremendous read. I won't get into the plot because most of the other reviewers took care of that.... and then some. But, it wasn't ordinary or predictable, that's for sure. Holy moly, the hero was hot and intense but the authors made it hard not to root for the "other" guy Flynn. Man, he was mmm mm, delish. I almost feel like Kate got to know Flynn better than the actual hero. Almost like it was just sex between the hero and Kate...but actual fondness, respect and friendship with Flynn. Nonetheless....amazing. Again, this was fabulously different from anything I've read. I'll be waiting for Flynn's story this summer and will definitely read this again.

Received a free copy of the book from the author. Enjoyed! Throb is name of reality TV show based off the premise of "The Bachelor", but with a rock-star. Flynn is the rock-star, but not the primary male character which is Cooper, Hollywood producer whose jealous step-brother produces the show. Main female character is Kate, student and casino card dealer. Two main characters meet at outside card came among friends and chemistry is sizzling between the two. Actually chemistry is sizzling between Kate and both Flynn and Cooper, but her heart belongs to the one who came in an swooped her away. Look forward to reading story of the guy who didn't get the girl in "Beat".

Review 4.5 rounded up to 5* This is a stand-alone contemporary romance. I really enjoyed it. Cooper Montgomery is a wonderful character and I liked him a lot. He is the CEO of a film production company that his father had started. His brother, Miles, has his own company that produces reality TV programmes. When Cooper meets Kate at a poker game, he's immediately attracted to her. Kate Monroe is also a wonderful character and I liked her too. Her father was a well known poker player. However, due to her father's debts, she signs up for a reality TV show called Throb. When she meets Cooper she is attracted to him, but because of the rules of the show and the contract she signed, she finds herself torn between following the rules or breaking them. I love reading Vi Keeland's books. I have been a huge fan of this author's ever since I was first introduced to her books in 2013 and I read Belong To You. I downloaded a copy of this book in 2015. Unfortunately, due to my large reading list, I was unable to read it until recently. I started to read and was quickly hooked. I didn't put this book down until I had finished it. This book is told through the eyes of both Cooper and Kate, which gives the reader the opportunity to see their thoughts and feelings. The chemistry between Cooper and Kate is extremely explosive from the start and hot enough to scorch the pages. I also loved meeting a few of the other characters who were likeable and lifelike. In fact all the characters were lifelike, with flaws and insecurities which made them more real. Miles came across as a spoilt brat, though he didn't have a lot of page time. I must admit that I liked Flynn Beckham, the bachelor from the TV show. He seemed a really nice guy and I could fall for him myself. I am not a huge fan of reality TV and I cannot see the appeal of putting on a fake show and calling it "reality". It is not natural or real. Real life is doing household chores, working, raising a family and earning a living the hard way. Not parading around a jungle doing tasks to earn food or sitting in a house full of strangers and again doing tasks to earn specified outcomes, just to earn lots of money and fifteen minutes of fame. Luckily, this book doesn't focus on this aspect, but the relationship between characters who live their lives off camera. The story took me on an emotional rollercoaster ride from beginning to end. I loved the dialogue and the way the characters all interacted; I could picture everything in my mind's eye with ease. As this book is a stand-alone, this book doesn't end in a cliffhanger. Having said that, I am now looking forward to reading Beat when I get the chance. Vi Keeland has written another exciting erotic romance. I love her writing style, which is fast paced and exciting. The story flowed wonderfully too. I love reading this author's work. She is one of my favourite contemporary romance writers, and I will continue to follow her career with interest. As this is an erotic romance, there are several scenes of a sexual nature that are rather hot and explicit, as well as some strong language. Therefore, I do not recommend this book for readers younger than 18. However, if you love hot, steamy erotic romances, this book is for you! - Lynn Worton

I rarely give stories 5 stars but this one deserves it. Besides the characters jerking you into the story immediately AND the main male character is "bossy" .. hot.. the female character is capable of serious compassion and can keep Cooper (don't you love that name for an alpha boy.?) The story is well written and edited which lots are not. Proper word forms were used which gets to me when they are not ex.. there, their and they're.... to, two, too any excellent book and l will follow this author for more

I really enjoyed VK's MMA Fighter series & can already tell I'll love this series too. Cooper & Miles have inherited their fathers production company. Miles decides to take his half into the reality realm without much success. Cooper meets Kate unexpectedly and they hit it off. That's why he finds it so hard to believe she turns him down for a date. Kate has been sworn to secrecy about the new reality show she's on, Throb. Some rules are made to be broken, right? I think the only thing holding me back from giving this 5 stars was the ending. Not with the contents of the ending but how they got there. After the build up & the source of contention between Cooper & Kate, it felt a bit rushed. The writing's good & you can connect with the characters easily. Can't wait for Beat & more of Flynn. - "You haven't even begun to see bossy yet. Tonight I'm going to tell you to do things, and you're going to do them. When I tell you to open wider, or take my c*k deeper, you're going to listen."

I received an arc of this for an honest review I was a little unsure going into this book as I'm not a fan of reality TV and a reality TV show is the backdrop for this book. I'm glad to say that my initial judgement was so far off the mark... This book was really good... Funny, well thought out and realistic. Kate applies for the reality TV show; Throb. The show is kinda like 'The Bachelor'... a group of girls competing for the attention of an up and coming rockstar. Most of the girls competing are doing so for the fame but Kate is doing it in the hopes of winning the prize money to help her family who are drowning in debt. Whilst on set, she is invited to a poker game where she meets Cooper, A sexy, dirty talking God of a man. Kate and Cooper hit it off but there is a problem... whilst the show is being filmed, Kate isn't allowed to date, it's in the contract she signed and breaking the rules would end in a lawsuit that Kate cannot possibly afford. From the moment he first see's her, Cooper wants Kate and will do anything to have her. Finding out that Kate is one of the participants in his brothers show, Cooper implants himself into the production of the show, pursuing Kate relentlessly. Will Kate be able to withstand Coopers advances or will she succumb to the sizzling attraction between them? I really enjoyed this book. It was well written and portrayed the reality TV industry in a true to life fashion. This was the first book I had read by this author and I will definitely be reading more of her work.
