Tic Toc
Tic Toc is a poem about my own earthly end, but not my end. It is also about everyone else and what they should be doing while they are here. It is a work meant to inspire people, get them to talk, think and act.

About the Author

Joe Krajewski is a registered professional structural engineer living in Vancouver, Washington with his wife Karen, his son Will, 4 cats and 1 dog. Joe and his family moved to the Pacific Northwest in 2007 after living in Rhode Island their whole lives.

In 2005, Joe took up long distance running (actually any distance running) in an effort to lose weight and live a fuller longer life. In 5 years, Joe has run 8 full marathons, 16 half marathons, and 25 other races ranging in distance from 5k to 25k.

In conjunction with his running, Joe is a big supporter and active participant in the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Team In Training (TNT) organization. TNT is one of the largest fundraising organizations in the world. The TNT concept is simple; participants commit to raising funds for LLS in its battle against blood cancers, in return LLS provides coaches, mentors, and training for running a marathon. The duel challenge of fundraising and marathon training is physical and mental challenge that leaves many a participant asking the question “Why am I doing this”. Joe has mentored 2 dozen participants through the TNT program. It is through his mentoring that Joe began to write about life and what it means.
