Overview

Til Tomorrow by Vera Roberts

Abigail Montgomery was the queen of Broadway and ready to make the big leap to a major record label. She had played America's Sweetheart for so long, she had the role memorized. Then she met him...

Julian Tanner was the toughest SOB anyone would encounter...in the ring. No squared circle was too daunting and no opponent was too fearsome. But behind his tough-guy demeanor was a gentle and sensitive soul. It was no wonder he fell for her...

She was the queen of her world. He was the king of his. Can they put their egos aside and rule together?

Wonderful! I love this short and sensual story! It's sexy enough where it's not boring and not too overly dramatic. Like the other reviewer said, it is very different from the other books Vera has written. There's hardly any profanity and no really descriptive sex scenes (there is sex, though). My only complaint that is pretty short but it's worth the money! I will read anything that Vera writes. If you're a romance lover, this is the book for you! If you're an erotica lover you would also enjoy this!

This is a very short story (about 50 pages) on two people from different worlds who come together. She's a Broadway star and he's a professional wrestler. She wants to keep their relationship private because of her past (which is revealed towards the end of the book) and he doesn't get it. Of course, drama ensues and there's a tug of war between ego and love. This book is different from Vera's other writings for a variety of reasons: 1) it's a romance, no erotica/erotic romance. 2) It's a bit longer than her Gettin' It and other books but not as long as her more recent works. 3) There's very little profanity and no explicit sex scenes. If you're a fan of the profanity and explicit sex in her prior works, you may or may not like this book. I recommend this book. I gave it four-stars because even though it was a good story, it could've been a bit longer. I didn't really like the heroine that much at first; I thought she was kinda b-word, but once it's revealed why she acted the way she did, you do sympathize with her. I applaud Vera for stepping out of her comfort zone and doing something different. I would read more stories like this from her.

I personally preferred this type of writing from Vera than her erotic stuff. I mean, her erotic stuff is good but I really like the sensual story. Til Tomorrow is about a guy, Julian, who's a professional wrestler and he meets and falls in love with Abigail, who's a Broadway singer. They get together and it's all fun and great until some of Julian's fans discover their relationship and all hell breaks loose from Abigail's end. Pros: sensual love story. Not too dramatic, love scenes are great, happy ending. Cons: some grammar issues but not many; it's really short (like 50-something odd pages), and for me, I thought the heroine was kinda like a spoiled wench in the middle of the book, until I realized why she acted the way she did. It would've been nice if that was explained early on. Overall, I recommend this and I hope Vera would write more like this.
