A good but not great story of modern warfare.

Nothing beats reading military fiction by those who actually have done what they write. Michael Farmer's book is no exception. You get to feel the camaraderie, leadership and misery of being a modern armor soldier in the U.S. Army, from the platoon commander up to senior ranks. Recommend this for anyone who'd like to learn more about military life.

Michael Farmer has did it again. 1st. with Tin Soldiers and now with Iron Tigers. If you ever wanted to now what is like to be a team member on a M1A1 Tank Crew these books are for you. Enough tecno/action/adventure to keep anyone intrested in how modern day battles are controled. A must for all to read.

As a former member of the military and also being a writer, I have given this novel a big 'YES'. Michael Farmer is one of the best new writers in the 21st century.

US vs. Iraq & others. A real page-turner! A professional soldier author who can really tell a tale. The employment of armor on the battlefield is realistic and dramatic and the characters are well-defined and appealing. Best story about tanks since J. Antal's 'Proud Legions'.
