About the Author

Winston Terrence was born in Washington, D.C., until 1972 he moved to the suburbs of Glenarden, Maryland. He joined the Navy, August 1984 and began active duty service basic training on February 1985 in Great Lakes, Illinois. He completed Hospital Corpsman School and served for three years as a Corpsman. After completing three years of active service, he transferred to the Reserves and then became a police officer in Connecticut. Terrence remarried in 1998, started a family, and rejoined the Navy in 2001 after the 9/11 terrorist attack. He became a Master-at-Arms with Naval Security Forces and soon later became a chief petty officer. He has done numerous deployments to Southeast Asia countries and served three combat deployments to Iraq. His education and experience have been in Antiterrorism, Force Protection, Crime and Criminology, Personal Protection and Criminal Investigation.

Terrence currently lives in Maryland with his family.
