Truth vs. Tradition
Truth vs. Tradition
Our world is governed by tradition, we are steeped in our past and culture. Tradition is defined as : 1) The knowledge, doctrines, customs, practices, etc., transmitted from generation to generation; 2) The body of unwritten Christian doctrine, handed down through successive generations.
Traditionalism is a system of faith founded on tradition. But does tradition really reflect the truth? Some think science is the source of truth. We accept almost without question what we are told by science or what we have learned from science, history and nature. We believe it is okay if we do it as it was always been done. We follow developed tradition regardless of the source.
