Overview

Angela Anderson was saved, sanctified and filled with the Holy Ghost as a teenager, but the temptations of the flesh were always nearby. Eventually, Angela would leave her small town for a new life at college. No longer condemned by her Pentecostal teachings, she began experiencing new and exciting adventures, filled with forbidding temptations she only dreamed of.

Her escapades will soon develop into a lifestyle filled with sinful desires and temptations, until she falls in love. The truth about her lover would push her back to the church and a new relationship with GOD. But temptation is never far away, and Angela's life becomes more complicated.

Her life will come full circle as she runs into a past love that has blossomed into a major mover and shaker not only in the bedroom but financially, as she is given a tough decision to make.

Angela's decisions will place her square in the middle of immoral dilemmas. Will she continue to obey Christ or will she succumb to the temptations of greed, lust, and power?

About the Author

Steven Darrell Bates Sr. is from Cincinnati, Ohio and attended the University of Cincinnati where he earned a degree in Criminal Justice. In 2004, he moved to Atlanta, Georgia to continue his career working with At-Risk Youth.

Being raised in the Pentecostal Holiness church and by a minister, he was on a strict regimen of religious beliefs. He was not allowed to watch TV, play cards, attend movie theaters, or listen to secular music. This lead Steve to gravitate towards reading and writing just as long as it was not church related. He always felt like he was held to a higher standard because his father was a minister and the beliefs placed on him by the church. While growing up, Steven was expected to become a minister but that was a frightening thought for him. As a young man, he had to stop living up to other people’s expectations, and start living his own life.

Later in life, Steven Darrell Bates’s artistic talents surfaced, inspiring him to become a writer. He writes to admit to himself that he can create a story where the church and the secular society come together. While in college, he developed a deep fascination for understanding the church, GOD, and the concept of spirituality.

While many of those thoughts still elude him, he was lucky enough to find his one true love, his wife, and he is living happily ever after with her and their two kids. He is currently working on his second book.
