I really enjoyed the first two books, but for some reason this one never really grabbed me. Cara and Aelyx are in that honeymoon stage of their relationship where they are all mushy, gushy cuteness all the time, but they still do what they need to do for their planets. They know their responsibilities, and have great loyalty. I do enjoy their characters quite a bit, as well as many of the other supporting characters. That hasn't changed, but for some reason, and I hate to say this, but I was a little bored throughout the story. Sure, it had some action, but I don't know. It just didn't have the same pull as the first two books, and things were wrapped up pretty quickly. I was expecting something a little more epic, I think. I needed something more. With that being said, I like they way everything was wrapped up. I feel like all loose ends were tied up nicely, and I couldn't be happier with how it all turned out.

5 Stars for United United is the final book in the Alienated and this series finale was perfect. I’m sad that this series is over. 5 reasons to read United: • The story captures your interest from beginning to the end. There is romance, suspense and action. • The worldbuilding of this series is simple and easy to follow. The L’eihr have advanced technology but you don’t get confused with details. • Cara and Aelyx are a young couple but they handle their disagreements with maturity. With the dual POV readers see them work out their differences and take into consideration their different upbringings. • The romance is sweet and swoon worthy. Aelyx and Cara are a cute couple and they have overcome great odds to be together. • The ending was exciting with action and suspense. This also has a happily ever after ending that I loved and I was satisfied with the closure of this series (but I would love a novella with a glimpse of them older). I recommend this to fans of Jennifer Armentrout’s Lux series and to readers looking for science fiction that is a fun and easy read. Audiobook Review – 3.5 Stars Madeleine Lambert returns as the narrator and I still give her 3.5 stars. I thought her performance overall was good but it still bugged me with some of her character voices. Jacksons voice was too high pitched but I continued since I loved the story. She does another excellent performance of Cara and Aelyx. Her narration brought to life the exciting scenes. I still wished they had two narrators for this series. I think a male narrator would have been easier to listen to for some of the male characters.

I read the books after the first two had been published so I was a little late in the fandom. Regardless, Melissa's writing blew me away. Within the first few pages, I was caught and I finished the first two books in maybe a day. Then when Melissa put out the link to get personalized books, I begged and begged my mom to buy it for me. When I got the book, I finished it in less than a day and I've gotta say, the ending was perfect!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS BOOK. It was simply amazing. Out of the whole series this was my favorite. Has just enough romance and adventure. The ending is enough to leave a smile on your face. If you have not read the book yet read it now

Fascinating! Just Fascinating! Having read the previous two books (Alienated and Invaded) I was a bit skeptical of whether the third book could top them. Well, it brilliantly did! United has everything a young adult book should: fandom, crushes, frenemies, love, adventure and of course HOT BOYS!!!

I mean I don't have to say much...The book is by the One and Only Melissa Landers so of course it's going to be good! This book is the perfect conclusion to the trilogy and it does justice to the books before it, Alienated and Invaded. This book would honestly get fifty stars if it was an option. If you enjoy adventure with a dash of romance this is your to to book! The main characters Aelyx *swoons* and Cara (or should I say 'Cah-ra...the L'eihers always pronounce her name wrong) have to battle it out to save their two worlds. This book is sure to please, I finished it in one day and was reading from 11:00 am to 11:pm! But don't take my word for it, read UNITED!!!!

I truly was amazed by this really fantastic conclusion to a trilogy . The world building was continued wonderfully into this book from the first 2. This time we start on the Colonies on L’eiher and end on a massive enemy mother ship. And travel everywhere in between. I really enjoyed the way history and science was blended together of how the human and L’eiher races originated- it gave a great Ancient Aliens feel to it! This isn’t much of a spoiler but more of a confirmation that we find out both races, and many more apparently, are called Noven and were “seeded” by a superior race called Aribol. A representative from this race contacts the humans and L’eihers to demand that they stop all attempts at combining their races and return to their respective planets. They have one month to cooperate with their demands or they will exterminate both races. Since it takes about 2 weeks to travel back and forth between worlds this only gives our heroes a couple days to find a way to keep the two worlds together which has to happen b/c both the Humans and L’eihers need each other or both races will go extinct anyways. And THAT, my friends, is only premise of the story. The actual storyline had me at the edge of my seat throughout the entire book. Just when I thought I could take a breath of relief some other impossible hurtle was thrown in our heroes way and by the near end of the book I truly wondered how on Earth they were going to be able to face these odds and come back in one piece. It was deliciously suspenseful and had some great action sequences. Some old villains return and some new ones show up to really escalate the action and mystery as to why this invasion was happening now. Okay let’s talk about our heroes now. Of course we have Cara and Aelyx, but joining them are Troy (Cara’s older brother), Elle (Aelyx’s sister), Syrine (Aelyx’s best girl-who-is-a-friend), and Larish (a L’eiher scholar). If you’ve read the previous books you already know a bit about their respective backgrounds and relationships with each other, but if you don’t it’s okay b/c Ms. Landers does a great job of refreshing our memories without rehashing the whole story. And the same goes for the overall storyline. It was really interesting to watch how a lot of these relationships between the characters change and develop over time. Especially between Troy and Elle, and Elle and Syrine. I’m surprised at how much Syrine’s character grew on me over time. She really came though on a lot of fronts and I don’t think the story would have ended the way it did without her. And Troy too. I really didn’t like him at first, but he turned out to be a great guy. But let’s face it the stars of the show are Cara and Aelyx. Fist I’d like to say how thrilled I am at having these two be together for the ENTIRE novel. No separations. No inter planet communications. Nope they were a team, through and through. There was only a brief fight between them that didn’t last long b/c THEY TALKED IT OUT! How great is that? One of the things I really admire about Cara was how mature and strong she is, yet so kind and compassionate. She has fears, concerns and insecurities like everyone does but I loved watching her push past those to do as much good as she is capable of doing. And so does Aelyx, he is every bit Cara's perfect match- he's simply increadible. Their romance is so freakin’ cute and sweet and such a highlight of this entire book! For those who loved the other 2 books:Read this NOW!
