Ellie has broken up with her boyfriend when she finds him in bed with another man. Ellie only knows Hudson's first name. Doesn't want anything from him other than to tell him he is going to be a father. Goes to a Super Bowl party and sees Hudson playing on the Los Angeles team. She can't believe it's him. When she notifies him of becoming a Dad he can't believe it. Will two people who have been hurt by Love be able to figure out how to share their baby. Only time will tell. Brenda has written another wonderful story. The characters are so strong and their emotions come a live when reading the book. Read in two days didn't want to put it down. Ellie Fisher is days away from her wedding when she comes home unexpectedly and finds her fiancé in bed...with another man. Needless to say the wedding's off and it doesn't help that they work together. So, when a good friend invites her out to a nightclub for a well-earned evening out, Ellie accepts and ends up with an intriguing man, a few too many vodka shots and right into a one night stand she enjoyed. Of course, in the light of day, Ellie decides to hurry home without knowing much about her partner other than his first name, Hudson. A few weeks later when she discovers she's pregnant, she regrets that she didn't at least find out his last name. Hudson King is actually a famous NFL star who was delighted when he met the sports ignorant Ellie who hadn't a clue who he was. I loved everything about this story from beginning to end. While it started out a bit predictably, nothing else is after Ellie discovers her pregnancy. From Ellie's challenges with her ex, to her discovery of Hudson's identity and through to his reaction to the news, the journey was one fresh situation after another. Also layered into the story was Hudson's pursuit to find his biological parents to better understand the circumstances of his abandonment. Novak expertly weaves those issues into Hudson's psychology of his impending fatherhood and his relationship with Ellie. This was expert storytelling that had me experiencing a full range of emotions. Add in Veronica Worthington's wonderful narration and I absolutely loved this story. I literally couldn't stop listening and hated when the story ended. Well done! 4.5 stars (I received an ARC from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review)

In an interesting twist for a romance, a good portion of the early part of the story has the two on their own.  But in a weird way it kinda works because as a reader we get a better understanding of our lead characters.  For the romance though it kinda was bad because that meant that the two leads didn’t get to know each other during that time.  It’s realistic for how the story flows but does make the love story part a little harder to get to.  Being as skilled as she is, though, Novak does make it work.  Once they start spending time together, Ellie and Hudson somehow manage to get past their insecurities and learn to be brave enough to go after what they want.  It just takes a while … but what else do you expect in a romance :) I really enjoyed Ellie – she’s super smart but her confidence has taken a bit of a hit because of her cheating, no-good ex.  A night with Hudson definitely goes a long way in getting her mojo back ... until she finds herself pregnant and no way to contact the father.  I’m sure finding out that he’s a famous NFL player wasn’t easy but she handles it well (and I have to say she’s a lot more forgiving and understanding than I would have been.)  Hudson’s past definitely makes finding out he has a baby on the way a shock.  He’s always done what he could to limit the chance of an accidental pregnancy because no baby of his would ever feel unwanted.  So he does everything he can to make sure that he will be there now … after he pulls a few bonehead moves, of course!  While there may have been a few moments when I wanted to smack him, I always understood where he was coming from and the idea of what he’s gone through, and is currently experiencing, after being abandoned as a baby is heartbreaking.  Full of all the feels, realism, and interesting characters that you’d expect from a Novak book, Until You Loved Me is another great addition to the Silver Springs series. *** I voluntarily read a Review Copy of this book. All opinions stated are solely my own and no one else’s. ***

After finding her fiancé in bed with his best friend, Ellie is dragged to a night club for a much needed girl’s night. Little does she know that that one night would change her entire life. I’m not a fan of football so I did appreciate that the story focused more on Hudson’s personal life vs. his professional one. I love a strong and intelligent female lead. I loved how Ellie stood her ground with Hudson. That’s not to say that I agreed with all of her decisions. While I did like Ellie and Hudson as a couple, I wished there were a few more scenes (especially early on) where they had a few more deeper conversations. I would’ve liked to have seen those worked in rather than the time jumps. It would’ve swayed my rating a bit higher. El and Hudson are my favorite Silver Spring’s couple and I wouldn’t mind catching up with them in the future. I know at the end of this series I am going to NEED a Silver Spring’s reunion!!

Each book is better than the last as you read this series. I absolutely loved this book! Right from the beginning you feel for Ellie. Then as you read along you start to root for her. This is a book that is very hard to put down. With the limited time I get to read, I would catch myself wondering what was going to happen next. I would recommend this book to anyone that likes a sweet romance with a few hurdles thrown in.

Until You Loved Me nearly gave a reviewer's block since I am still on the fence about the story. I read the book, the whole book, even though I nearly gave up at the 10% mark because I am not a big sports romance fan, or rich and famous story fan, or the clubbing and one-night-stand-story reader so the beginning was super slow to me. But then the story wrapped its flow around my brain and I actually ended up staying late to finish it. Is it a book I want to read again? I don't think so, but I think I will remember it. Did I like it? I wouldn't have read it otherwise, so yes, I did like it. It is well written, like all the works of Brenda Novak are. Was it entertaining? I am not sure, I think it was rather tragic, actually, there was potential to so much heartbreak and angst with the protagonists past. The history was well twined into the current events, I liked how through the investigation Ellie got to show Hudson how much she values him as a human being, how much she respects him, trust him, and is willing to support him. By reflecting the past to the present Hudson learns what love truly is, for the first time in his life. I liked both Ellie and Hudson, they were charming, charismatic, easy to like, even relate to, to a certain point. I liked the chemistry between them, the openness, the honesty, the connection that developed and the time it took to really get to that deeper relationship status after the initial night. I have been thinking about the reason why I didn't absolutely love this good story, and I believe it was because of most of the intimacy, both physical and mental, between Ellie and Hudson, was either glazed over or referred to as something that happened in the past. I never got the feel of the depth of their emotions, the true connection these two beautiful souls created between themselves. A story about learning to accept your past and even use it to make a difference in the world around you. It's a story about learning to love, learning to embrace your gifts and talents, your blessings, and your current life, to make a most of it. ~ Three Spoons with a teaspoon on the side

Brenda Novak has done it again! Until You Loved Me is the 3rd book in the Silver Springs series...and it does not disappoint! Ellie, a biologist working on a cure for diabetes has a perfect and glorious one-night-stand with a famous NFL quarterback, Hudson King. Hudson was abandoned as a baby and doesn't know how to love. Ellie was cheated on by her fiance (with another man) and doesn't know if she wants to love. The result of the one-night-stand is a pregnancy. Hudson convinces Ellie to move to Silver Springs to raise the child and their love ignites to a fairy tale ending. Great book. Very enjoyable read. Can't wait for the next in the Silver Springs series to come out.

Brenda Novak has done it again with this wonderful new series. When Ellie Fisher hooks up with a total stranger one wonderful night, she leaves too soon the next morning to get his name. Then she finds out that she is pregnant she is going to have to raise the baby alone. Then she by accident finds out that the baby daddy is a football star she goes and finds me to tell him. At first Hunter is upset to learn that he is gonna be a dad. Then he really steps up. This is a must read book and series. You will not be disappointed!

This is book 3 in the Silver Springs series and it features Ellie Fisher and Hudson King. These two had one perfect and beautiful night together, which turned into something neither of them expected. I was very disappointed in Hudson's reaction to Ellie's news. I understand his mistrust in women but I'd like to think he knew her better than that. Their arrangement was somewhat impersonal. On there one night together they seemed so in tune with each other. This is a great story with fabulous characters. I love how the story started out elsewhere but eventually becomes based in Silver Springs. The town is growing! I can't wait to come back!

This is the third book in the Silver Springs series. And it's just as great as the first two. Once I started it, I had a hard time putting it down. The people of Silver Springs and the New Horizons school help you get away to a good place. It's a wonderful story of two diversely different people meeting, overcoming some unexpected circumstances, and ending up in love. It shows you can start over and believe in yourself. Looking forward to reading more in this series.

Brenda Novak's Until You Loved Me Superbly written story that keeps the reader totally engrossed with many unexpected happenings. The story is power packed with emotional issues, family issues, social issues, fear to love, a tangled web of secrets, deception, mystery, drama, suspense, sinister plot and forgiveness, personal growth, friendship and love. This book was a representation of real life and not the live happily ever after books without problems or compromises. The author gets the reader involved from the beginning. You experience what the characters are feeling. The main characters, Ellie Fisher, PhD and Hudson King, star quarterback for the Los Angeles Devils are creatively and well defined characters with undeniable chemistry. You will visit Miami, Florida plus Los Angeles and Silver Springs area of California. Hudson was one of Aiyana Turner's boys from the New Horizons Boys Ranch when he was younger. This book makes the reader aware of issues that might have never crossed their minds. This is book # 3 in the Silver Springs series. It can be read as a stand alone. A highly recommended read!!!!

Another Fulfilling Visit to Silver Springs! *4.5 Stars* This third installment in the Silver Springs series had a little different feel in that it didn't all take place in Silver Springs, and we didn't spend much time in town or with the locals. But I certainly didn't love it any less! Hudson King is a graduate of New Horizons, the school for troubled boys located in Silver Springs. Being a starting quarterback for a professional football team, he's a success story for the school and he spends a lot of time and money mentoring the boys there. But Hudson's life prior to New Horizons wasn't smooth. He was abandoned and passed in and out of foster homes so much he has a difficult time trusting anyone...especially women. Ellie Fisher is doing post-doctoral work in immunology - specifically diabetes. She's always been more likely to spend time with a book or in the lab than out with people. Recently, she's been dealing with a broken engagement having found her fiance with another man...both of whom she works with. Hudson and Ellie meeting seems serendipitous. He appreciates the fact she doesn't seem to know who he is and he can, therefore, relax and be himself. She appreciates that he doesn't seem to mind discussing philosophy, science, politics, and religion over making small talk. When they both throw caution to the wind and spend the night together, things seem perfect. But Ellie runs the next morning, mortified over her reckless behavior. Unfortunately, 7 weeks later she's dealing with the consequences of that night...alone. The circumstances of Ellie and Hudson reuniting were entertaining, and then kinda scary. Watching as they move past feelings of betrayal and recriminations was endearing. Seeing them learn to trust one another and make an attempt at building a life together, for the sake of their child, was as well. Novak once again delivered a riveting story with such well developed characters. Hudson's issues and actions and reactions were all so true to who he was and the man, and father, he wanted to be. Ellie was the most genuine person you could ever meet. I couldn't imagine not liking her. Being witness to them building on their chemistry, turning it into so much more while dealing with difficult life changes...well, it's something I've come to expect from Novak, something she does well. And she didn't let me down. Once again, I'm clamoring for my next visit to Silver Springs. **I received a complimentary copy from the author. Until You Loved Me is Book 3 in the Silver Springs series by Brenda Novak. These books stand entirely on their own and while they do center around the New Horizons Boys Ranch, only a couple characters from past stories make a cameo appearance so it's not a must to read them in order. In true Brenda Novak style the writing is superb and it has a very engaging plot. It started off with Ellie being dumped by her fiance...for another man! Her friends take her out to a club to get her mind off things where she meets Hudson and has no clue that he is a famous football player. This led to some fun moments that I could absolutely relate to since I'm not much of sports fan myself. The only reason this book is receiving 4 stars instead of 5 is that there was just too much angst and distrust that went on a bit too long. There was an incident that happened between Ellie and Hudson that was completely unexpected and shocked me to the core. Despite the "incident" however, I did grow to enjoy the characters and loved watching their story unfold. This was a very emotional story that I couldn't put down.

An amazing emotional story of finding love and trust again. A chance meeting between Ellie and Hudson at a bar leads to a one night stand. That one night stand will change the lives for both with an unplanned pregnancy. Ellie, is a workaholic as a scientist, who just caught her finance in bed with another guy. Hudson is pro football player, who grew up in foster homes and Silver Springs was his last place. Hudson wants to do whats right and provide for his baby and Ellie. Add in a little mystery of who are Hudson's parents, makes for the perfect read. This is the third book in the series, but all are stand alone books. This is my favorite one so far. Can't wait to read the next book in the series! I highly recommend!!

This is the third book in the Silver Springs series by Brenda Novak. I have been a fan of Brenda Novak's for a couple years now so when I got the opportunity to read this book I jumped at the chance. I truly feel this series gets better and better with each book that she writes. Brenda did a great job of developing these characters from start to finish of this book. I really liked Ellie's character as you got to see her go through heartbreak and then got to see her begin to love not another person again but herself. In addition, I liked how Brenda really developed the characters through out the book and had them really grow as individuals and as a couple eventually. I honestly felt like it was a true relationship that could happen in real life and wasn't just fantasy. In addition, I really enjoyed the storyline of this book. As you a reader you felt like you were going through each of the stages that Ellie and Hudson were going through in the book. In addition, Brenda did a great job of adding a great plot twist in the book that I will not divulge because I think that it should be something the reader should find out for themselves. I can tell you it was one of the reasons I kept on reading until the end to find out what happened. I can't wait to read the next book in the series and to see what story Brenda decided to right next as I know it will be great!

Unexpected Romance! Ellie Fisher has had a bad time lately, with the future she thought she would have imploding with the end of her engagement. When her childhood best friend and exact opposite gets her out to a nightclub, she is counting the minutes until she can leave. Hudson King is intrigued by the beautiful woman who doesn't fit the scene...or know who he is, giving him opportunity to just be himself. When they indulge in the attraction they feel, Ellie works to avoid the awkwardness of out-of-character one-night-stand without knowing Hudson's last name. When she finds herself pregnant, despite precautions, she is set to make a life for the baby without its father. It's once she discovers WHO Hudson is and tries to do the right thing, that things get interesting. Due to his childhood, Hudson has spent his adult life avoiding unplanned pregnancies, so despite still wanting to see Ellie again, he is understandably unhappy to start. It was fun to watch these two very different people with strong passions for their work and people, come together and forge a relationship, initially so the baby would have both parents, and, ultimately, stick it out and find their HEA. These two were good for each other, grounding the other and expanding their worlds. Novak has again created a story with interesting characters who are real and flawed. This is a great addition to the Silver Springs series, but can also easily stand alone. I can't wait to see what comes next! ***I received an advanced copy from the publisher. My opinions are my own and freely given.
