It's the year 2020. The civilized world has continued to lose ground on its war against terrorism as law-abiding citizens experience an accelerating diminution of personal freedom.

Since the turn of the century, our planet has teetered on that fine edge between humanity and hatred. No individual, no religious group, no society, nor nation state has been immune to the heinous carnage. The events of September 11, 2001 shocked the world to its core...that was just the beginning.

During the latter half of the decade (2016-2019), terrorist activity in the US quadrupled. Approximately seventy percent of domestic terrorist attacks were committed by homegrown radicalized terrorists who lived and/or were born in the country. John Schieman resides in Northern New Jersey. When he is not at home, he can be found on Maui where he does most of his writing. John’s literary goal is to unleash his creative imagination and author compelling stories that entertain, provoke, and collaborate with his readership.

His grandchildren Chloe, Collin, Maggie, Brian, and Allie a.k.a. “The Little Cutie” are the joys of his life. His friends Casper, a white American Eskimo dog and Cookie, a black and white Shih-Tzu provided John with companionship and inspiration throughout each project.

John enjoys diving, snorkeling, and outrigger canoeing. He has been an avid photographer for many years. Some of his photos are on display on his Facebook page. And, oh yes, John enjoys reading…primarily mystery novels.

John holds a Master’s Degree in Economics from Rutgers the State University of New Jersey.
