About the Author

Dr. Jane Sullivan, a former classroom teacher, is professor emeritus of Rowan University in Glassboro, New Jersey. In addition to providing workshops in reading and writing to various school districts for the last four years, she has volunteered as a writing instructor in the fourth and fifth grades of Upper Township Elementary School in New Jersey. Since 1999, she has traveled to Guatemala twice a year to provide workshops in reading and writing to teachers in that country. Dr. Sullivan has also published articles in several children’s magazines.
