About the Author

I'm a marine journalist and college administrator who writes for national boating, sailing, and motorcycle magazines. Originally from Ohio, I hold a USCG Marine Merchant Officer License, and sail my Catalina 34 “Ukiyo” out of Jacksonville, FL.
