This was a risque story. It has humor, great characters and steamy, explicit sex. Enjoyed it!

This is a great second chance romance. I was instantly sucked into the story. I must say at the very, very beginning I thought I wasn't going to like Kyle because of what he was doing, but his motives would soften anyone's heart. Ella is the one who got away and he's never forgotten her. You can feel the connection between Kyle and Ella. That strong pull won't let either of them go, but will family one again come between the two? What Kyle does for Ella is truly romantic and even in the epilogue as well.

I loved reading Well Built, another hit for co-authors Carly Phillips and Erika Wilde. These two are among my favorite authors and among the most talented writers in Romance Land. Combining their voices created a strong story, with characters that not only have compassion and empathy but also depth. I have to say that this book is equal parts dirty and sexy, with some extra fun thrown in, all which benefits by the combining of their voices. I highly recommend this book to all readers. This book is definitely hot and sexy, but is also a second chance at love for high school sweethearts Kyle and Ella. Both are the good child, at least in comparison to their siblings. Ella has dedicated her life to taking care of her father, giving up a life of her own. The question Ella has to decide is whether or not she can come to terms with loving Kyle and having the life she wants rather than continuing her care for her father and his dreams. I totally enjoyed reading this wonderful book and highly recommend this book to other readers. I truly cannot wait to see what to see what Carly and Erika have lined up next as they continue this co-authorship. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

ARC for honest review with no compensation Well Built is another well written book in the Book Boyfriend series by Carly Phillips and Erika Wilde, which can be read as a standalone. You cannot go wrong with reading this second chance romance book and the others in this series! ! ! Ella Fisher and Kyle Coleman were high school sweethearts but when Kyle decided to leave their hometown for college and a better life, he wanted Ella to come with him but they had bitter words that could not be taken back and he left…alone. Now 10 years later, Kyle has returned a very wealthy real estate developer and wants to purchase a building beside the grocery store Ella’s family owns. He knows Ella is bidding on the same building BUT…she doesn’t know he wants it too. Sparks fly when at the auction she sees Kyle for the first time in 10 years…not only does she not get the building that she wants for herself to expand with wares from the local merchants but she realizes she still has feeling for Kyle after all this time…and the feelings are mutual. Will they be able to repair the damage in their relationship from 10 years ago or will Kyle renovated the building for his mother and return to Chicago and go on with his life????

Highly entertaining, sweetly sexy, emotionally charged second chance romance. Refreshingly drama light and filled with support of lifetime awesome as can be friends, Loved it! Kyle Coleman is the strong, sexy alpha male that never commits to a relationship (at least not since the love of his life broke his heart) and prefers easy convenient hookups. Ella Fisher is sexy, sassy and not looking forward to confronting the one man she ever loved about buying the building next to her fathers market out from under her (but what choice does a girl have, right). The love that never really died sparks back and choices must be made. Very thrilling reading.

3.5 stars-- WELL BUILT is the third installment in Carly Phillips and Erika Wilde’s contemporary, adult BOOK BOYFRIEND erotic, romance series focusing on a tight knit group of friends who own and operate Premier Realty in Chicago. This is residential and commercial redeveloper Kyle Coleman, and grocery store owner Ella Fisher’s story line. WELL BUILT can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary. Kyle’s business partners make cameo appearances throughout the story. Told from dual third person perspectives (Kyle and Ella) WELL BUILT focuses on the rekindling relationship between real estate redeveloper, and grocery store owner Ella Fisher. Kyle and Ella were high school sweethearts but words said in anger, pushed Kyle out of his hometown of Woodmont, Illinois and into the busy city of Chicago, a bustling city he would soon call home. When a business opportunity, ten years later, presents itself in Woodmont, Kyle takes advantage of his real estate finances. Enter Ella Fisher, Kyle’s only competition for a coveted piece of Woodmont property, and the only woman who would ever claim Kyle’s heart. What ensues is the rebuilding romance between Kyle and Ella, and the couple’s struggle with a potential long distance relationship when Ella refuses to compromise due to issues back home. Ella Fisher is a hometown girl whose life revolves around work and her ailing father. Rekindling her relationship with the only man she would ever love forces Ella to look at the bigger picture including the potential to step out of her comfort zone and into the life she has always wanted. Kyle Coleman struggled with the loss of Ella Fisher when words said in anger forced the couple in different directions. Ten years would pass but in all that time Kyle never forgot about the woman who would always own a piece of his heart. There is a large ensemble cast of secondary and supporting characters including Kyle’s mother Patricia Coleman, and his childhood friend Nolan Roberts; Ella’s father Charles Fisher, and her best friend Claire Myers, as well as Charles’ homecare aid Betsy. We are reintroduced to Kyle’s business partners at Premier Reality: Wes Sinclair (Big Shot #1) ,Max Sterling (Faking It #2) and Connor Prescott. Connor’s story is next in Rock Solid. WELL BUILT is a familiar and predictable tale; a story of family and friendship; of second chances and a love that never waivered in spite of the distance and years. The premise is entertaining and sexy; the characters are colorful and dynamic; the romance is passionate and intense. My only issue is the heroine’s underwhelming personality but perhaps it was intentional as part of the story line premise.

*Sigh* A wonderfully satisfying second chance love story. Kyle was so sigh worthy. Ella was a bit gun shy but she was only trying to protect herself from repeating mistakes of the past. Understandable, but Kyle was so worth the risk. He was so amazing in this story. I loved every sweet and sexy moment of this story. Now I can't wait to read Connor's story. * I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader copy of this book *

WELL BUILT is billed as a second chance story with animosity and forbidden love (Yes, pleeeze!!!), so I was psyched for passionate verbal skirmishes followed by even more fiery physical “tussles”. It delivered on the latter, but not so much the former. Usually a second chance romance where a harsh breakup caused the couple to purposely avoid each other for 10 yrs. would be contentious and require a lot of explaining and groveling. Frankly, the back and forth animosity that creates tension and usually ends with some explosive sexy times is my favorite part. So I was surprised that this was missing here. The early, quick, almost polite resolution left me confused and extremely needy. Although I can’t say that for the couple. They did get their smexxy on many times, which did not leave any of us feeling needy except to want more of that hotness. Gotta admit I had a tough time connecting to the main characters. Maybe that was due to the book synopsis, which described Ella as sassy and smart-mouthed. Unless my definition is completely different, I found her neither. Quite the opposite, in fact. She was a mass of contradictions that kept me constantly trying to get a read on her. One moment she was in a mousey panic and the next bold and brazen. It was quite frustrating. Kyle. Oh Kyle. He, too, was a contradiction. He certainly had his sweet moments that sucked me in and had me believing he was at last reformed. Then BAM! Out burst an alpha comment or move that destroyed all his previous goodness. I have absolute zero tolerance for that “You woman. Mine. Don't talk to another male.” thing he had going on half the time. I’m a picky reader when it comes to heroes, so I fully expect my opinion to be in the minority. If alphas are your crack, you’re gonna love him. While not my favorite Book Boyfriend story, Well Built is a good contribution to the series and well worth the read. I enjoyed seeing the main characters from the previous books and look forward to Conner’s story. A hero who prefers relationships to hookups is unusual and refreshing. I can’t wait to see where the authors take his story. 3.5 stars

I love this series from Erika & Carly! And this book is just more of that great stuff we keep getting from them! These two ladies sure know how to write a sweet & sexy romance! This is an awesome second chance at love for Kyle and Ella who haven't seen each other in many years since they dated in high school until Kyle comes back to town to buy something for his mom (sigh- He's so good to his mom) that Ella really wanted herself which certainly stirs up some passion. That passion leads to the old passion and love that has always been there between them. These two have serious chemistry that leads to some steamy sexy times but can they overcome their past and the things that tore them apart before? Can they overcome the fact that Ella still lives in the small town of Woodmont (Kyle's hometown too), takes care of her dad who doesn't like Kyle and has city anxiety, while Kyle now has a successful business in Chicago? Is their relationship "well built" enough to last this time?? Another 5 star must read! I can't wait for Connor's story next!

Kyle Coleman is back in his hometown to buy a piece of property at an auction for his mom. His mom has always dreamed of owning her own bakery and event center. Elle Fisher is at the same auction to buy the same property to expand the grocery store which is her dream. Kyle wins the property but at what cost. 10 years ago Elle told Kyle to get out of his life, now he wants nothing more than to have Elle back in his life permanently. Kyle is ready to go after his dream. Carly Phillips and Erika Wilde are fantastic together. The next book can't come fast enough.

Kyle and Ella's story is a great second chance romance story. They were high school sweethearts, when a family problem ripped them apart. Kyle left town and never looked back. As time past, he knew he should have gone and made things right with Ella, but too much time had passed. When he returns to town and takes the one thing Ella wants more than anything, he knows that he will have to face her. Kyle and Ella have a unique chance at love again. They realize they have never loved anyone else like they've loved each other. Can they overcome the distance between them and build something to last? I liked the book and love this group of characters. I was glad to see some of the characters from the other books in the series make an appearance. This is a great group of friends. Can't wait for the next one!

LOVED this story!! It’s a classic love story of young love, family drama, small town vs. big city! Kyle and Ella were in young, in love and had a future planned. Then tragedy struck in their families and they were torn apart. Fast forward ten years and fate, in the form of an old, dilapidated building, brings them back into each others lives. The passion is still there, but old issues, as well as some new ones, continue to keep them apart. I knew from the beginning that Kyle was going to be one of my favorites. He isn’t cocky, he isn’t a player...he’s actually hesitant about hurting Ella yet again. But it’s for his mother!! Who doesn’t love a man who takes care of his mother! Ella was the good daughter. She stayed. She never really got over the loss of Kyle (who could?) but she tried. Thankfully the engagement was cancelled and she pushed on. Kyle brought out the passionate side of Ella and made her wish for more. She wasn’t initially strong enough to stand against her family but could his love and support make the difference? This story had the passion, the heat, the emotions and was just a fun read. Plus we get a little glimpse of past couples, although if you haven’t read the other stories, it doesn’t affect this story at all. It’s just a neat little twist for those of us who devour these authors. I cannot wait to meet the girl who steals Connor’s heart in the next story!!! Bravo Carly and Erika!!!!

Kyle Coleman and Ella Fisher were high school sweethearts until one fateful night when their siblings caused their world to come crashing down. Kyle left Woodmont, IL ten years ago, broke and determined to make something of himself. Now living in Chicago, Kyle is a part owner of Premier Realty with his 3 best friends, and a successful multimillionaire. After that fateful night, Ella dropped her dreams of college and took over running the family grocery store since her father was unable to. Now that the old building next door to the grocery story has finally gone up for sale, Ella has plans of buying that building and expanding the family store. Imagine Ella's surprise at the bidding sale when someone else also makes a bid on the building....none other than Kyle Coleman...the guy she still has never gotten over. She may have recently broken off an engagement to another guy, but her heart has always been with Kyle. Kyle knows he is crushing Ella's dreams, but he has plans of his own....he want to fulfill his mom's dream of owning a bakery and an event center. In the beginning there was some fun sparring between these two. It was obvious that the chemistry between these two was still strong. When Ella tries to convince Kyle that he should sell her the building that is when the fun begins! Car trouble, stuck in Chicago, Kyle's place....etc....it didn't take long for these two to give in to their feelings. Afterwards, Ella lets Kyle know that their hookup has to be a one time thing because her father couldn't handle her being with a "Coleman boy" and she couldn't risk his health any more. Of course this doesn't last long and soon they are sneaking around like they did back in high school. Eventually problems arise and all hell breaks loose. It takes some long and hard soul searching for these two to finally make it back to their happy ending, but they finally do. I just adore these characters. Kyle was just a perfect dream man...exactly what someone would want in a guy. Ella had a hard time standing up to her dad because she was always the "good" daughter and this caused her to really end up putting her life on pause. Once she stood up for herself you just wanted to tell her...way to go Ella! Overall this was a great, second chance story of two characters who never really gave up the thought of the other, even 10 years later.

"You want to know what this city boy dreams about, baby?" he taunted in a raspy voice hoarse with carnality. "You. All f'ing week long, every night, I dream about you." This book wasn't exactly what I expected, yet it was everything I hoped for. I'm not quite sure how these authors always pull that off, but I shouldn't be surprised. I didn't realize this would be a second chance romance, from the blurb, and I have a serious love/hate relationship with those. But, this one was heartfelt, and well done. Kyle Coleman is 1/4 owner of a real estate/renovation company with his 3 best friends, in Chicago. He's not had a serious relationship since high school. He's not been a monk, but he hasn't found anyone he's interested in for longer than a few dates. He's from a small town about an hour away from the city, and he's back to buy a dilapidated building there. His mom still lives there, so he's been back plenty over the years, but he always tries to avoid going into town. He doesn't want to see the girl who broke his heart 10 years before, Ella Fisher. Ella still lives in the small town where she grew up. She hates the big city of Chicago, and just going there gives her severe anxiety. She runs her dad's grocery store, and she takes care of him. After the terrible events of 10 years ago, with her sister, and Kyle's family, and then her father's subsequent stroke, she feels obligated to stay and take care of things. But, she finally wants something for herself. She's planning to buy the dilapidated building next door to the grocery store and turn it into a local artisan market. She's excited at the thought of having something that's just hers, and not her father's. But, those dreams go up in smoke, when Kyle buys the building out from under her. As angry as she is at him for that, it puts them in each other's orbit again, and sparks fly almost immediately. Ella and Kyle have always been drawn to each other, and that hasn't changed after 10 years. If anything, they're more attracted to each other now, than ever. Their chemistry is strong, and sexy, and I loved their banter as well. They really had deep feelings for each other, from the start, though they were trying to avoid them. Kyle wants more than Ella is willing to give, and she's too busy being a martyr for her family to really think about what she wants for her own life. It was often frustrating to see her push her own needs aside for her dad's wishes. She was just so used to taking care of everyone else first, that it never occurred to her to take what she wanted for herself. I love the side characters in this series, especially the 2 couples from the prior books. I also really enjoyed Kyle's best friend from his hometown, and Ella's best friend, who were starting a relationship behind the scenes in this story too. In fact, I wish we had seen a bit more of them, because their history together in high school was an interesting one, and I wanted to see how their relationship blossomed. Kyle and Ella were intriguing, sexy, and at times, heartbreaking. I really enjoyed getting to know them and see their story unfold. I'm a bit hesitant about book 4, though I've been waiting for Connor's story. It appears it's a secret baby book, and I am not crazy about those. But, I haven't been let down so far by these authors, so I will definitely give it a shot!

First off, I LOVED this book!!! I have absolutely no idea WHY I haven't read any of their other books (YET) but Well Built by Erika Wilde and Carly Phillips is my FIRST!!! *hangs head in shame* I will rectify this ASAP...I PROMISE! Kyle Coleman and Ella Fisher are star-crossed lovers who haven't seen each other since the fateful night their relationship died a horrific, sudden death 10 years ago. While Ella was engaged to be married (but she called off the wedding, realizing that she didn't love Tucker the way she SHOULD...the way she STILL loved Kyle!!), Kyle has never had a real relationship with a woman (always comparing EVERY woman to Ella...and they all came up short) The intervening years has seen Ella running the family market store, looking after her father since his stroke and basically living a very quiet, small-town life. She has her bestie, Claire and the store...and that's about it! Meanwhile, Kyle, after leaving Woodmont, Illinois after Ella unceremoniously dumped him, moved to Chicago and eventually started his own Real Estate business (renovating and re-selling old houses and businesses...a "flipper", if you will) with 3 friends. His professional life is doing just fine and he has his occasional one-or-two-night-stands to relieve the sexual tension...that's all he needs, right?! That's all well and good, until Kyle outbids Ella for the storefront next to her family's and the fun REALLY starts! As the story unfolds, the all-consuming chemistry between Kyle and Ella is EXPLOSIVE!!! Fireworks galore!! I seriously fell in love with Kyle from the get-go!! He is absolutely, pretty much PERFECT!! Initially, I found Ella to be a little bit immature and wishy-washy, but she totally redeemed herself towards the end of the book! There were so many moments in this story! The, at times, heart-clenching emotion, the INTENSE sexual chemistry and panty melting sex scenes, the roller coaster highs and lows make this a DEFINITE 5 STAR READ for me! I can't wait to get into all the OTHER books from Erika and Carly that I have waiting for me...

I have been waiting for Kyle's story! I love the Book Boyfriend series. Well Built can be read as a standalone just in case you have been unable to keep up with the series. But i suggest to back track to the beginning. You need more alpha book boyfriends in your life! Kyle and Ella's story was about never forgetting your first love. This book brought so many memories of all my firsts. I am a fool for love and was hopelessly rooting for Ella to let go of the "what If's" and would finally give Kyle a chance. We find out that they have a horrific history, but they were not to blamed. They still allowed series of events dictate their future. Now fast forward 10 years later and their chemistry cackles even louder! Oh my, I think I covered my eyes a time or three when Ella and Kyle were going at it hot and heavy in between the sheets. And up next we get to read Connor's story. My friends, Well Built gives you hot and sexy alpha men with tool belts. TOOL BELTS...CONSTRUCTION MEN, HOT AND SWEATY MEN! All that muscle that is described while they are reconstructing a new building was suppose to be sweet and innocent, but thoughts went into over drive! Well Built is drool worthy, swoon worthy, and all about a hot and sexy second chance story. I loved it from beginning to end! Carly and Erika make a great team to bring us our sexy romance dreams into words.

Well Built is a second chance love story about Kyle Coleman and Ella Fisher. High School sweethearts whose relationship ended on a sour note. Kyle is one of the partners in Premier Realty. He redevelops buildings that have been neglected. Kyle returns home to Woodmont, Illinois after 10-yrs to bid on a commercial property next door to Fisher's Grocery. He will be bidding against Ella for the property. Ella is bidding on the building next to her family store, Fisher's Grocery's, so she could expand the store to feature more of the local artisan's. She believes there will be no competition at the auction, and is shocked that she looses the property to Kyle. I absolutely love Kyle … he is an Alpha male with a big heart who will fight for what he wants. Ella takes some getting used to … will you hate her or applaud her dedication to her family. Can they get past the past, and move forward as adults to get their HEA? Another amazing collaboration between Carly Phillips and Erika Wilde. I volunteered to review an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

***4 ‘Figure It Out’ Stars*** And we have another winner in the Book Boyfriend series (though Max and Hailey from Faking It are still my favorite couple :D )! This second chance at love story is filled with humor, heart, heat that will keep you turning the pages and wanting more. I fell in love with Kyle before the first chapter was over. What he does and the reason why he does what he does made my heart go all kinds of swoony and twitterpated. He’s got a laid back vibe and a good heart and when the Alpha side of him comes out to play all bets are off. Ella I really liked. She’s compassionate, kind and I had to admire how she took responsibility for her family when things went to h@ll in a handbasket. But that responsibility weighs her down and while I totally understood why she did the things she did, I wanted to reach out and shake some sense into her so she could have a life of her own. Kyle and Ella’s second chance at love journey was a fun one. The angst was low, which I really liked, and while there were a few bumps and some eye rolling/heavy sigh moments, it was fun to watch these two get to know each other again. The smexy was hot and I loved the Ella gave as good as she got. The issue that broke them up when they were teens was a pretty big one and I can’t say I blame either for how they handled, and didn’t handle, things, but I liked how they dealt with it all when they collided again and how everything worked out for them in the end. As always, the writing was engaging, well paced and seamlessly put together. I enjoyed catching up with the other couples and cannot wait to get my hands on Connor’s book! ~ Copy provided by the author & voluntarily reviewed ~

**Advanced copy provided by the authors in exchange for an honest review** Well Built is the third book in Carly Phillips and Erika Wilde's Book Boyfriends series. While it is part of a series, it can easily be read as a standalone without issue. When Kyle Coleman left his hometown of Woodmont ten years ago, he not only left his mother, he left the one woman he has ever loved, Ella Fisher. Because of issues between his family and hers, things ended badly between them, but once he left to go to school and work in Chicago, he's never found a woman who compares to his high school girlfriend. Ella has always missed Kyle, but when he shows back up in town he not only throws a wrench in her plans to expand her business, but he also puts her heart at risk again because she realizes how much she really did miss him. While there is animosity and hurt between them both because of past issues and due to Kyle's return to town, there is still plenty between them. It's obvious they care about one another, but the question is can they get past all of the external problems and focus on them and how they feel about one another? Can a now City Boy and a perennial Country Girl find a way to make it work? This was a great second chance romance and addition to the series. I enjoyed the characters and it was a quick moving, sweet, sexy story. I'm looking forward to the next installment of this series!

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book. This was an enjoyabe story in the series. It is book 3 and it easily stands alone. I enjoyed it alot and cannot wait for book 4. This is Kyle's story. We have met him other books as he is a partner in the real estate development company with the characters from the previous books. In this book we learn about his tragic past which includes losing the love of his life, Ella when his brother impregnanted her older sister who then had a miscarriage and her father had a stroke on the same night. The two were in love but after that night Ella told him to go away and he did. They do not see each other for ten years until the day that a property is being auctioned off that sits next to Ella's family grocery store which she wants to buy but Kyle also wants to buy it for his mother. And that is when the fun starts. After he does this Ella follows him to Chicago where some mishaps occur and they have a wonderful date but Ella knows how her father hates Kyle and his family but Kyle has other plans. And so more fun, hijinks and sex occurs. Will Kyle and Ella make it work? Well I am not sharing. This book was fun, sweet and romantic. Kyle is not anti love and romance. In this book Ella and her father are more of an issue. Ella was hard to relate to. She is a total sweetheart but maybe too much so. She seems to have given up her life 10 years before to take care of her dad. She is even living at home with him. I just could not relate to how much she is attached to her dad and how closely he watches her and dissapproves of certain things. I could have understood a year or two, but 10 years, it was too much for me. That said I did like her character even if I could not relate and I LOVED what Kyle ends up doing for her. Together they were really terrific. I just found it hard to relate to her and Kyle was beyond sweet and romantic.

Carly and Erika nailed it again with another great book, this time around with Kyle and Ella! I love second chance romance reads and this one will have you flipping/swiping the pages because you can't get enough of this story. Kyle is the gorgeous, sexy, sweet alpha who wants another chance to prove himself. Ella is the beautiful, sweet and sexy woman who is afraid to end up with a broken heart from the one man who can rip it to shreds. You will fall in love with these two and be begging for more! So excited for the next book from this amazing duo!

Erika Wilde and Carly Phillips are an explosive combination. With Erika's spicy dialogue and Carly's blend of complication and emotion, Ella and Kyle set fire to the pages. Kyle creates his own brand of smooth from brash antics to suave words, he has the moves to make a woman forget herself. Ella is the spark that lights him up. She's a good girl that knows how to work her inner bad girl. Well Built gives a well written nod to the seductive while going for broke with some sweet romance. When greatness is expected, it's no surprise when it's delivered.
