All Ashley has is her little sister, who seems to have a perfect life, only showing off what a mess Ashley's life is, and Chrystal, who is the groundkeeper at a cemetery and a fellow recovering alcoholic.

Though Ashley knows her sister is always there for her, she also knows she will never understand because she will never let her know the secrets of their past. Chrystal is the only person Ashley trusts with every part of herself, no matter how scared those parts may be.

Even though she is managing to continue her sobriety, Ashley finds that her life is going nowhere. Only after a serious incident at work does she realize it's time she stops letting everyone walk on her, that it's time to be the bitch she used to be. For the first time, she is taking control of her life.
