Ray Giles, a new up and coming children’s author, has written his first children’s book entitled “When Things Change”. “When Things Change” is a heartfelt story about a family of five who are going through a tough time due to the economy. The parents search for a way to talk with their children about the setbacks and come to the realization that their children are much more understanding than they could have ever imagined. “When Things Change” is a book about faith, togetherness, hope, communication and love.

About the Author: Ray Giles was born in Farmington, New Mexico. Through his senior year in high school, Ray was raised on an Air Force Base and lived throughout the United States and Germany. He attended Johnson C. Smith University in Charlotte, NC and from there went on to receive his degree in Social Work at Montclair State University in Montclair, NJ. In addition, he is currently attending Gwinnett Technical Institute and studying Bio-Science with a concentration of Regulatory affairs.

He was a social worker for the state of Georgia working in Outdoor Therapy residential treatment center for juveniles. He has worked in the fields of Adolescent counseling, Parent support, education groups, home studies, post placement, and developing treatment plans for juveniles. Through a combination of extensive personal and corporate coaching programs, he has had the ability to empower men and women to achieve and maintain success. Ray also enjoys motivating and helping people achieve their goals. His professional skills and training are the foundation in which he lives by.

Ray is a first time author who has had the passion of writing for many years. He has a series of books set to be released in 2013.

“When Things Change” is a book that transcends across cultures and is being well-received by children and teachers across America.
