This is my favorite book of the Toni Blake series in Destiny. The characters Tessa and Lucky have great stories of themselves in this love story. I would highly recommend this book, its a page turner, and a new twist in every chapter. Loved it!

I just loved Tessa and Lucky's story. They were just perfect for each other! They complimented each other very well. It was amazing to watch them both grow as the relationship developed. I look forward to catching up with their relationship as other books are written in the series. Overall a great series. I have read all the books that have been released so far. Can't wait for next year!

Toni Blake's characters are always intriguing to me. Long before this book was published and I read an excerpt from it, I knew I'd love it. She always writes about characters with strength and depth. Both Tess and Lucky knew of each other from high school, but neither really knew the other. They both had preconceived ideas about each other that really didn't apply. Tess was living a lonely life in their hometown after her business didn't take off in the city and Lucky had disappeared from it many years before when a terrible accident in his family had driven him away. Now both are back trying to start over in their life and their businesses. Tenderhearted Tess and tough guy Lucky are just right for each other. She takes a chance by trusting him and by letting her into his life he must learn to trust others again. Also complicating matters is Tess's illness, a secret that Lucky has and a long broken relationship with his brother Mike that needs to start healing. I loved this story and I think Toni Blake matched the exact right characters together. This is a great series. I'd recommend it to anyone who likes good writing and a wonderful story written by an author who knows how to get to the heart of her characters.

Following the collapse of her interior design career, Tessa Sheridan returns home to Destiny, Ohio with few hopes for her future. She struggles to pay her bills and eat even living in a woody cabin near Whisper Falls. Next door is a biker whose Harley roars seemingly 24/7 driving Tessa over the edge. She also is attracted to the hunk, which she knows is a loser for a reticent person as she is. Once a rebel without a cause, Lucky Romo feels his name is accurate as he is attracted to his shy neighbor. Their attraction could ignite a forest fire, but will she allow Mr. Trouble to drive into her life. Although the bad boy and innocent girl love story has been done a zillion times (Donna Kaufman and Lori Foster come to mind) the latest Destiny, Ohio contemporary romance (see Sugar Creek and One Reckless Summer) is a fun brisk tale. Lucky is somewhat stereotypical, but Tessa provides freshness with her reticence and reluctance to turn into a bad girl. Toni Blake provides an enjoyable entry as readers will wonder whether the lead male will in deed be lucky in love. Harriet Klausner

This is my favourite book in the series so far. For me each one has been better than the one before it, and while this one got off to a slightly slow start, I gave the preceding book four stars, so Whisper Falls had to get five! Of the eighty-four million contemporary romances currently out there about people returning to their small hometowns, this is definitely one of the better series. It completely sidesteps all the saccharine sweetness and instead delivers believable characters and strong romances. You probably shouldn¿t start here. The characters and storylines from the last book follow through in this one. Lucky Romo is my favourite hero in this series, and Tessa Sheridan my favourite heroine. The heroines from the earlier books were too `doormatish¿ or too in your face, and Tessa is the perfect mix, and a great balance for long-haired, tattooed biker Lucky. I love Lucky, and if he ever dumps Tessa he can look up my number. ***To her surprise, Lucky titled his head and looked her in the eye, appearing oddly¿crestfallen, she thought. ¿Don¿t be nervous,¿ he said. ¿I hate making you nervous.¿ ***The book was a little slow at the beginning ¿ I felt we spent too much time in Tessa¿s head while she speculated about Lucky and reflected on her life. But once the friendship ¿ and, later, relationship ¿ took off, I really enjoyed this. Lucky ran from home many years ago ¿ packing his stuff and taking off, never to be heard from again. He¿s been caught up in all kinds of things, not all of them legal, and the reason he suddenly reappears in town was a real surprise. It wasn¿t a reason I would usually have liked reading about, but Toni Blake made me enjoy it. Lucky is trying to shed his old image as best as he can, but it can¿t entirely change who he is. He asks interior decorator Tessa to redo his home, and I loved his instructions for what to do. ***"What sort of look are you going for?¿ Damn, how did he answer this? ¿Something¿normal,¿ he finally said. ¿I think I can work with those.¿ ¿And make it look normal?¿ ¿¿what look are you interested in for the room?¿ ¿"Uh, normal,¿ he said again, trying to lose the wolf look. ¿More normal.¿ ***Tessa¿s life changed when she became ill with a disease that has no cure. While she¿s often okay, there¿re times when she¿s too sick to function normally, and so she had to give up her career. Back in her hometown, she¿s trying to work out a new and different life. There are definitely problems in Lucky and Tessa¿s relationship, some between the two of them and some out of their control. However what I really liked about this couple was that they pretty much committed to each other, so there wasn¿t a big `will they or won¿t they?¿ dragging on forever. If more authors wrote small town romances like this I wouldn¿t whinge so much about the fad taking over bookshops. I wasn¿t such an enthusiastic fan at the beginning of the series as I didn¿t feel much of a connection with the characters, but here in book three I thought they were great. With Whisper Falls Toni Blake has got it right. Great romance and great conflict, and the small town stuff complements the story rather than ruining it.

4.5* I love this series. I like how Toni Blake writes the romance so that you feel like your right there with them and you just feel it inside. You get that feeling in the pit of your stomach weather it's good or bad. Lucky and Tessa where great characters and had wonderful chemistry. Lucky is a big hot alpha scared hero that really I just wanted to lick. Yes I did just say that. He is just to yummy and Tessa deserved every part if him. I liked how Ms. Blake addressed Tessa's disease through out the book. I feel I learned a lot about Crones Disease. I'm looking forward to the next book.

I really enjoyed the previous two books in this series. This was also good but I was not comfortable with a person fleeing a scene of a serious crime (even in self defense) and just moving on with life.

This book was a little "different"... Don't get many romances that involve motorcycle bad boys... But Lucky is/was a bad boy and what a hunk!!! This book hinges heavily on previous books and so it is easy to understand Lucky and what drives him... But, when he finds out he has a son from a one night stand even a bad boy can step up... And, he can also find love, forgiveness and a home... This one is an interesting journey and a book I could not put down...

Another wonderful book in the Destiny series. Tessa meets up with long lost Lucky Romo who just happens to be her new neighbor. Lucky is the the long lost brother of Mike Romo from book 2! I have to say that Toni Blake's writings give the reader the entire background for each character and actully feel the emotions. I laughed, cried and fell in love! Great Book - Great Series -- Great Author!!!!!!

This book is adorable. Just like the first two, this story is about two unlikely people finding love rather reluctantly. The banter, the situations, the denial, it’s hilarious. Lucky definitely has his demons and it takes sweet-natured Tessa to show him the light. Think Sandy and Zuko in “Grease”. Blake has the ability to perfectly balance passionate sex scenes and romance. These books aren’t smut, by any means. They’re a fun and wonderful way to pass a Sunday afternoon.
