Whisper To Me of Love by Shirlee Busbee

Busbee is back and better than ever! --Julia Quinn

She Couldn't Escape Her Past

Ripped from her dying mother's arms, Morgana Fowler was cast into a life of desperate thievery. With a tongue even sharper than the blade she deftly wields, she has all but mastered her devious trade--until she picks the pocket of a dashing American who wrests her from the sordid streets of London. In the arms of her gallant protector, she is helpless against the longing he elicits within her. . .

He Couldn't Contain His Passion

Royce Manchester basks in a world of privilege and power in the decadent British Regency, and lowborn Morgana finds in him a love she's never known. But the secret of her true parentage threatens to bring her new life crashing down. With a sinister figure from her past ever lurking at her heels, she and Royce must confront one of Regency England's most diabolical villains--a challenge that fans the flame of a love that knows no bounds. . .

I'm amazed at how good this book is! I was going through a rough patch and wanted books to help keep me going, and I came across this. The way this is written made it impossible to put down, and I felt better about my life when I finished it. It made me forget about reality when I was reading it. It's excellent.

This is a wonderful book. I really enjoy the continuity of characters from other books, and the mystery and intrigue of the plot is as fascinating as the characters. Busbee does a great job of providing just enough clues to make you think you have solved the mystery, but later you discover that she has craftily allowed you to draw incorrect conclusions, making the final revelation a surprise. Don't start this book if you have other pressing commitments-you won't put it down.

I had a copy of Whisper To Me Of Love in braille sitting downstairs on my bookcase so I decided to go and pull it out to while away some time. When your unemployed it leaves very little time for anything else and you have alot of time to just enjoy life. Needless to say I was very disappointed by this book. The concept of the novel though is a very from rags to ritches type of story and in some ways can be related to other authors such as Charles Dickens. Being compared to Charles Dickens is complimentary and the main principle caricter Morgana Dvelin will probably remind you of other female caricters in class literature with her sausy tongue and very spirited personality such as Anne Shirley in LM Montgomer's Anne of Green Gables series. The 3 central main caricters of the novel are Morgana Devlin the bastard daughter of one of the nobility, Royce Manchester an American from Louisiana staying in London and partially their in search of a bride, and the One Eyed man a leader of one of the biggest underground london crime circuits. The 1 eyed man has a job for Morgana then only referred to in parts 1 and 2 of the novel as Pip who is disguised as a boy. The one eyed man wants her to pick Royce Manchester's pocket at a sparring match, however her attempt is thwarted by Royce who takes the pickpocket home unaware of her ties to the london crime boss. Furious that his planned attempt to rob Royce fails he desperately tries to get Morgana back by whatever means possible because of the future plans he has for her. But what future plans you might b asking might those be? You have to read the book to find out. Another sub plot of the novel is that the one eyed man isn't the only person who is interested in Morgana Devlin the Earl of Saint Audries has his very own interest in her and it might even mean Morgana's life unless Royce can solve the mystery of who Morgana is before she is killed. While all of these plot lines are interesting I gave the novel 1 star because the novel dragged way too much. About 90 percent of the novel is mushy romance and for every chapter of action there are about 5 or 6 chapters just dedicated to Royce and Morgana's relationship. This novel could have been severely shortened from the 900 pages it is it was in braille to maybe 200 pages or less, either that or the author could have developed the plot more. Interesting enough you don't find out specifically who the one eyed man really is for at least 95 percent of the book and there are very few sceens involving him or the earl of Saint Audries and usually the sceens involving the evil caricters in this novel are the most entertaining to read. But over all if your asking me do I really recommend this book honestly no, and not because it's too gushy but because much of it content wise is dry and when a novel only has 90 percent of errotic sceens and doesn't really follow a strict plot line you can lose your readers really fast. But I would buy this book if I knew a girl that liked to read trashy romance novels. Give it a miss you'll save your money. Put it towards paying bills it's hard enough to live in this society these days without money.

Ms. Busbee has done it again! Her exceptional combination on romance, intrigue and suspense has generated one fantastic novel. I anticipate the release of her next book. I am certain that it will be as good or better than the previous ones. Keep them coming!
