Wildest Dreams by Kristen Ashley

Seoafin “Finnie” Wilde was taught by her parents that every breath was a treasure and to seek every adventure she could find. And she learns this lesson the hard way when they perish in a plane crash. But she never forgets and when she discovers there is a parallel universe where every person has a twin, she finds a witch who can send her there so she can have the adventure of a lifetime.

But upon arrival in the Winter Wonderland of Lunwyn, she realizes she’s been played by her twin and finds herself walking down the aisle to be wed to The Drakkar.

Thrown into inauspicious circumstances, with years of practice, Finnie bests the challenges and digs into her adventure. But as Frey Drakkar discovers the woman who is his new wife is not Princess Sjofn, a woman he dislikes but instead, his Finnie, a free-spirit with a thirst for venture just like him, without her knowledge he orders his new bride bound to his frozen world, everlasting.

But at the same time Frey plunges Finnie into a web of political intrigue that includes assassination plots, poison, magic, mystery and… dragons.

About the Author

Kristen Ashley grew up in Brownsburg, Indiana but has lived in Denver, Colorado and the West Country of England. Thus she has been blessed to have friends and family around the globe. Her posse is loopy (to say the least) but loopy is good when you want to write. Kristen was raised in a house with a large and multi-generational family. They lived on a very small farm in a small town in the heartland and existed amongst the strains of Glenn Miller, The Everly Brothers, REO Speedwagon and Whitesnake (and the wardrobes that matched). Needless to say, growing up in a house full of music, clothes and love was a good way to grow up. And as she keeps growing up, it keeps getting better.

Typical romance book plot, with a weak attempt at spicing it up with dragons and elves. the plot is watery and weak. the main character is annoying. A lot of plot holes, shallow characters and spoon-feeding of all and every emotion each character felt. I had high hopes for this book because of the great reviews. Obviously the other reviewers went in with much lower expectations, I can't see how else anyone would be 'wowed' or 'in love' with this book. will not be finishing it.

LOVED it. I waited to read these last as I worked my through all of KA's books, because I wasn't sure how hokey the fantasy element would be. I was more than pleasantly surprised that we lose none of the relationship/sexual tension in this story. It felt like a typical KA book but with a fantastic element added in. We as readers get more out of the story and the romance, not less. Honestly one of my favorite of her books, and I have read them all and pre-order the new ones. My favorite author. Give the Fantasyland series a chance, you won't regret it. As much heat and action and angst as Colorade Mountain/Rock Chicks/The 'Burg series.

I loved this book! An Awesome ride from beginning to end. Frey is so HOT! Although, I didn't agree with what he did to Finnie, it turned out perfect for them. Finnie is sweet, funny, caring and full of attitude, I loved her. For awhile, I thought I was going to be very upset with KA but, she did not disappointment me. Wish there could have been more of the dragons and elves. Love dragons! If you like fantasy, or romance or both. READ THIS you will not be disappointed.

I felt this was a phenomenal plot line. Something fresh and interesting. I hope the following books in the series are better and the main character, Finnie, stops with her childish banter. This is an adorable, sexual and brutal book with opposite universes, enchanting lands and brute battles. I think it has a perfect mix of a lot of genres and interests.

I really loved this. The characters and plot were well developed. The premise was fresh without being off putting. I'll definitely be reading the rest of the series.

Wildest Dreams was a pretty cool time travel fantasy adventure. Most of this story is setting. The final bit around 10% I guess is where the action happens.

Great story. Got a little slow and boring at the end. Had it cut a few chapters short, then 5*

Thank you to the author. This book/series has been exceptional. There are very few great stories out there. I am glad I have found an author who knows how write a story that can make me happy, sad, angry, horrified, laugh..... For me, it is the mark of a great story when I can feel all of those things and remember it long after i have finished.
