The winds of change brews over the colonies. Tension against the crown is mounting daily. In Williamsburg, the rebellion burns strong in the hearts of two siblings, Jonathan and Hannah Corbett. Spirited and headstrong, Hannah finds herself thrust in the middle of a conspiracy when her father receives a strange package from Philadelphia. Jonathan, a physician for the Continental Army, is torn between duty and family. With war looming on the horizon, the siblings soon discover there is a high price to be paid for the cry for freedom.

It's a dangerous game you set to play, Miss Corbett. One that can have far worse than deadly consequences!

In the midst of the struggle of America's bid for independence, Hannah Corbett makes a fateful decision, descending into a world of deceit. Searching desperately for the man who betrayed her family, she faces the cold and brutal reality of the life of a spy. Caught in a web of lies, living with betrayal, she is trapped. She has nowhere to turn except to a man it would be treasonous to love, setting duty and desire at war. Her heart is ripped apart when she must choose between the man who risks his career and life to protect her and the only thing that has remained constant in her life...her belief in her cause.

The 4 books in this series are set during the time of the American Revolution. Each book flows into the next and offers suspense, family rivalries, jealousy, love, lies and betrayal in glorious abundance. The characters are richly-written and complex and have depth and substance. Some you will love and some you will love to hate. The plots are intricate, move at a good pace and hold your interest effortlessly. The scenery is described in such a way as to draw you in and make you feel as if you are a part of the story. At times, I could almost smell the gunpowder and metallic stench of bloodshed. The heroes are dashing, sometimes dangerous and quite debonair. The heroines are strong, beautiful, smart and charming. All of these aspects combined to create a series of book that I did not want to put down. My only critique is that I found the editing to be a bit lacking. *I received a complimentary set of these books in order to read and provide a voluntary, unbiased and honest review, should I choose to do so.

An interesting story line about a young woman's loss and bravery. Set during the revolutionary war. Could use a good editor as it seems somewhat disjointed at times and I found myself guessing to fill in the gaps.

A history of the revolutionary war showing the love of family and the saceifice that our forefathers made for our feedom It is more than sad that the last few generations have no concept of the lives and dearhs this America suffered to bring About a country that many now want to destroy. I cant help but to see a similarity of what could happen again.

I really enjoyed these books. They were well written. They gave a personal view of the struggles and sacrifices of th Patriots during the Revolutionary War. Although it was fiction, there were many historical facts throughout the books. There were some editing problems which is why I gave it a 4 instead of a 5.
