Hello, I'm Charles, a 27-year-old self-published author and spoken word poet. Throughout my life, I've used my voice to help people, participating in open mics and poetry slams, such as Louder Than a Bomb Florida. My poetry team achieved 4th place in the state of Florida, led by Jason Taylor, who sent all four teams to Chicago for a valuable opportunity to enhance our writing skills. This event took place in 2016.Since then, I have been working on my first book, *Word-Play*, a collection of poems that reflect various events in my life. Through my poetry, I express my experiences and speak out against social injustices, advocating for the American people.In my day job, I assist diabetics by using my voice in customer service, promoting empathy, and fostering deep human connections. This experience motivates me to continue writing and releasing more books to help others navigate the challenges I have faced.
