About the Author

Ebrahim E. I. Moosa, Ph.D. is an associate professor of Islamic studies in the Department of Religion at Duke University. He also served as the Associate Director of Research at the Duke University Islamic Studies Center. He is the author of Ghazali and the Poetics of Imagination (University of North Carolina Press), which won the 2006 American Academy of Religion's Best First Book in the History of Religions award. He also received the American Library Association's Choice Outstanding Academic Title Award.
