She is more shocked to find that he’s not a stranger after all. What will she do? Will she reveal her horrible secret? Will she besmirch the Vandercamp name? Will she risk losing the man who has her heart to save the man who’s touched her soul?

Seriously hot and sexy w unexpected surprises Kudos to this author After reading Gabriel I had to look for more books by you!
5 stars = I freaking LOVED this book Wrapped in Shadows was a great book. When I pulled up the blurb this morning before I started reading it, I just skimmed over the first couple of paragraphs quickly and completely missed the “sinister events” part, so I didn’t realize that this was a romantic suspense novel. And let me tell you, I didn’t figure out “who done it” until it was revealed at the end and I so did not see it coming. The book opens on a highly emotional scene when Kay catches her fiancé in a compromising position with his ex. Completely devastated, she flees to her best friend’s home and ends up accompanying her and her boyfriend Matt to a sex club, where she proceeds to have one night of complete sexual bliss with an unknown stranger. For many people visiting a sex club or a one-night stand wouldn’t be an issue, but Kay is an heiress and the face of her family’s philanthropic foundation so if it got out that she had visited a sex club, she’d be destroyed. So as much as she enjoyed her time with Mr. Pumpernickel (you’ll understand the reference when you read the book), she knows she can’t try to find out who he was or return to the club. Unfortunately, there was a murder the night she was at the club and Mr. Pumpernickel is arrested for it. This presents a major problem for Kay as she had discovered who Mr. P was and, after spending time with him, had developed feelings for him and couldn’t figure out what to do. Kay finds herself trying to juggle her responsibility with the Foundation, her parents’ expectation that she still marry Josh despite his infidelity, Josh’s continued pursuit and machinations, and her feelings for Mr. Pumpernickel and his need for an alibi. Ms. Eugene has written an excellent book that sucked me in from the first sentence. The characters are realistic. The romance was wonderful. The twists and turns were suspenseful. The sex scenes were HOT!!! I so want my own Mr. Pumpernickel. I will definitely be checking out Ms. Eugene’s other books as I found her writing to be quite enjoyable. I received a complimentary copy of the book in exchange for an honest review. Reviewed by Angela at Crystal's Many Reviewers!
I really enjoyed this book. The opening scene really made an impact and the rest of the story kept me glued to my tablet to the very end. I devoured this book in just a few hours. It was sweet and romantic at times yet also had an underlying suspense/thriller to it. They sex scenes were steamy but did overthrow the overall story line. Katie and her mystery guy have one steamy night and then think they’ll never meet again (although neither can get the other out of their head). I don’t want to give a spoiler away by revealing who the man is but lets just say that I was seriously swooning over him. He’s sexy, sweet, and caring. Katie is a people pleaser and I seriously wanted to smack her a few times when she was making excuses for her ex (Josh). However, she’s also smart and compassionate. These two made a great couple and I really liked them both. The story line had my attention the whole time and I couldn’t put the book down. That little bit of mystery and suspense really kept me intrigued and had me constantly working to figure out who it was while also enjoying the story of Katie and her mystery guy. The book flowed really well and it was an easy and enjoyable read. I look forward to reading more by this author. 5 out of 5 stars!
Katherine believes her fiancé is cheating on her. When she discovers him with his ex-flame she runs out on him and goes to a sex club where she has anonymous sex with a stranger. Little does she know how this stranger will change her life. When murder occurs Katherine has to decide how much keeping her trip to the club a secret will hurt others and herself. I liked Katherine (Kay). She was blind most of the time to her fiancé's bad attitude and behavior. When she finally sees it for herself she develops a backbone and hardens her heart to him. YEAH!!!!! Josh (the fiancé) does not deserve Kay but he has played her like a rare violin that I had a hard time stomaching their scenes. He is trash! I liked her friend Michelle. She is outspoken most of the time but holds back on her feelings for Josh so as not to hurt Kay. Kay's parents are a piece of work. They are so wrapped up in themselves they would rather see their daughter unhappy just so they won't be embarrassed. Michelle's boss, Luke, is wonderful. He is attracted to Kay and full of jealousy when he learns of her on and off again engagement. Ms. Eugene can write sex. The sex sizzles. The mystery is good. I was half right but I won't say which half. The development of the characters is well done. Each character is true to themselves (especially Josh and her parents.) My only complaint is the editing. While the story is done in two people's first person points-of-view, it seems as if the story was originally done in third person point of view. Several times through the story I caught wrong pronouns being used. Instead of I, he or she was used. Occasionally the person's point of view changed to the other person telling the story in mid-paragraph or chapter with no defining change. But the story is intriguing enough to fix these errors in my mind. I enjoyed the story, loved the characters, and will be reading more of Lisa Eugene.
5 FAN-FREAKIN-TABULOUS STARS!!!! Wrapped in Shadows by Lisa Eugene WOW! WOW! WOW! Un-Freakin-Believable!!! I absolutely LOVED this book from beginning to end. I was hooked at page one and I could not put it down. Even at the end I wanted more, more, more. If I could give this book more than 5 stars I so would. This is the first book of Lisa’s that I have read and I just have to say that she is an amazing writer. I can’t believe I haven’t read anything of hers so far. I am a book whore and I read a lot of books. This will not be the last of her books that I will read. Put this on your TBR list ASAP. I promise you, that you will not be disappointed in this jewel of a book. This book has the right amount of everything from comedy, romance, HOT sex, to even a mystery. I was on the edge of my seat trying to figure out the mystery and I thought I had it all figured out. I could not read fast enough, only to find out I was wrong. So no P.I. jobs for me. Kay and Michelle are freaking hilarious throughout the book. I was laughing so hard at these two best friends. I could so relate to these two. Michelle’s boyfriend Eddie cracks me up with the name that he comes up with for Kay’s alias to get her into the sex club. I laughed so hard at it. I am still laughing just thinking about it. When you read it, you will know what I am talking about. Luke has become my new book boyfriend. I know I am such a book whore. What can I say, I love a hot man with a tattoo. He is so freaking hot. I love the chemistry between him and Kay. I loved the whole journey that Luke and Kay take together and I loved how they found each other. I really tried to like Josh, but I just had a sneaking feeling that he was shady. I just had to kick him to the curb when Luke came into the picture. I could go on and on about all the characters in the book, but I don’t want to ruin it all for the other readers. Don’t let this book pass you by. This is great story that is very well written. If you are looking for a book that has just one of the things that I mentioned above and you are looking for a new book boyfriend then this is the book for you. What are you waiting for??? Go get this one ASAP!!!! Lisa Eugene, Thanks for such an awesome story and for the ARC. You have a new fan girl. I would love to read more of Luke and Kay’s story…hint, hint. I beg you to let their story continue!!!
