About the Author

Born in Beaumont, Texas, the author has experienced many aspects of personal growth through a number of difficult situations. His employment background is as checkered as his childhood, and includes stints working as deckhand on a tug boat, construction labor, entertainer, salesman, heavy equipment operator, cowboy, truck driver, farmer, motel manager, miner, apartment manager, and private investigator.

For the past 28 years, Cliff and his lovely wife Elaine have made Idaho their home. They are the proud parents of two sons and a daughter; Robert, Timothy, and Misty. Doctors said there could be no children after Robert, but prayer and faith in God proved otherwise.

In 1985 Cliff became a reserve police officer, and knew he had found the career he had always searched for. A few years later he was hired full time. His previous experiences placed him in a unique position to thoroughly understand the needs of the community. He progressed through the ranks of corporal and sergeant until one of his proudest moments came in 1997 when he was appointed Chief of Police. Cliff retired from the police department January 1, 2010.

Cliff says: “If you have a dream and are willing to pay the price to see its fulfillment, nothing can stop you from achieving it.”
