Children are supposed to have a family support system to raise them, but I didn’t. The only support that came to my side was a devil in disguise of a human, my grandfather. He is a devoted Japanese man who decided to take me in from that disgraceful orphanage because of my skills. He is my marionette, and he pulled all my strings to mold me into a perfect heir to take over his legacy. The Saito clan is one of the wealthiest families coming out of Japan. The clan is based on an island open to the public, and my grandfather always stayed on top by doing whatever was necessary. All my life, I have never experienced the word freedom. Would I ever be able to?

Hello, my name is Suzu, a shorter version of the word Suzumebachi. Throughout my life, I was always silent and timid. I grew to like the word Suzumebachi because the meaning of it in Japanese is a giant hornet, and one thing about hornets is that they are fierce. This name became a part of me and gave me the confidence to chase my dreams without worrying about other people’s judgment. I was born on the fourteenth of November 2001 in Brooklyn, New York. I am a person who loves to read psychological books/manga, baked sweet goods, and loves animals. My ultimate goal in life is to be a better version of myself and let go of the chains that bind me to be trapped in a corner, and that’s starting now when I released this book. I can finally show people my work. I am incredibly nervous about this journey, but hopefully, this step will help me embrace the outside world better.
