I am devouring this series, and I could NOT wait for Zane's book!!! Zane is the man who keeps the peace and keeps all of his friends lives in order. I think it's so amazing that he's this man, but he was hiding so much! We saw before how he kept going to see his sister and take care of her kids, and he always came back looking so bad. I had no clue Dakota would be come to be the person she is in his life. I really thought she was just some love-sick puppy girl who wouldn't get attention. I love that he was so caught up by her.
We get so much out of the blurb for this book, to see just how broken Zane thought he was. I really had no clue how much until I really got into the depths of this book. It was just so sad! I was so upset for him not letting anyone in, especially Ash and Dakota. I love that she had the affect she did on him, and I love that Ash finally got some sense talked into him.
I loved everything about this story and can't really say anything else without giving too much away. This book really got to my heart

Zane is a man with a tortured past, one he keeps well hidden. He's the one all his friends look to for help, but he can't help himself. His sister, Emma the girl who saved him, took him in and gave him a safe home and loved him like a mom is dying from breast cancer and his world is falling apart. Then Zane meets Dakota and proceeds to fall in love. Now this may sound like a typical story but it's so far from normal with the past and all the people who depend on him...dark nightmares etc. It's an intense story with lots of cussing and sex and unexpected things happening and yet a romance too. A real nail biter.

Dakota was a little hard to connect with...I felt their chemistry was just a little lacking...but because I loved Zane so much I still very much enjoyed the book. Tyler's story is still my favorite out of the series.

4.5 star
The story has laughs, grief, secrets, and heartbreak.
I would recommend reading the below before this book:
Kiss Me Goodbye: Prequel to Asher (Inked Brotherhood, #0.5)
Asher (Inked Brotherhood, #1)
Tyler (Inked Brotherhood, #2)
This is Dakota and Zane’s story. Zane has a painful past. He has certain rules you must follow when touching him. Dakota is attracted to Zane. Can she deal with all his touch issues? Dakota can sing and is in a band. She needs a roommate and knows that Zane does also. Can they be roomies? Dakota does not understand why Zane will not tattoo a dragon on her. He draws on her a lot. When Zane has a breakdown after getting a double dose of bad news it leads to a coma. Can Dakota pull him out of the coma and will him to live? Or will the pain of the past and present be the end of them?
I was able to connect with the characters and the story was a great read.
I recommend this book and can’t wait for the next story from this author.

I always look forward to when Jo Raven puts out a new book. But to be honest while reading the earlier books I wasn't sure what I would think of Zane. I never should have doubted. Zane is by far my favorite so far. I definable recommend reading Zane!
