About the Author

Meg Heithcock has her master’s in Exercise Physiology. As first author, she published her graduate research in The Journal of Applied Physiology. Meg was Director of Clinical Physiology for special populations, and has worked in human performance laboratories and occupational medicine. Nationally, she lectures about injury prevention and personal training certification for the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America, (AFAA). Meg is a certified sports nutritionist through the International Society of Sports Nutrition, (CISSN), and a certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, (CSCS). Formerly a collegiate athlete, now a record-setting triathlete, Meg also competes on tennis and soccer teams, as well as coaches youth triathletes.
