Vince Flynn (1966-2013) was a bestselling author of political thrillers, best known for his Mitch Rapp series, starring the aggressive undercover CIA counter-terrorism agent famous for taking measures that are more extreme than might be considered commonly acceptable. Flynn had initially planned to become an aviator with the United States Marine Corp., but was medically disqualified. He turned to reading, and eventually writing, thrillers at that point.
