A Court of Mist and Fury (A Court of Thorns and Roses Series #2) by Sarah J. Maas

Feyre survived Amarantha's clutches to return to the Spring Court--but at a steep cost. Though she now has the powers of the High Fae, her heart remains human, and it can't forget the terrible deeds she performed to save Tamlin's people.

Nor has Feyre forgotten her bargain with Rhysand, High Lord of the feared Night Court. As Feyre navigates its dark web of politics, passion, and dazzling power, a greater evil looms--and she might be key to stopping it. But only if she can harness her harrowing gifts, heal her fractured soul, and decide how she wishes to shape her future--and the future of a world cleaved in two.

With more than a million copies sold of her beloved Throne of Glass series, Sarah J. Maas's masterful storytelling brings this second book in her seductive and action-packed series to new heights.

This book messed with my emotions in the best and worst ways possible. It was impossible to get any sleep without finishing the book first. Now, what with all the surprise, suspense, laughter, romance, and frustration I am left very emotionally drained. I want the next book NOW, and it hasnt even been two days since this one has been out. Waiting for the third will be torture.

I have loved all of Maas' work. I will admit that first book in this series was not my favorite but this book was beautifully written. I was honestly surprised at how things happened for Feyre and friends and am saddened that I have to wait so long for the next installment since I finished this one within hours! You will never be bored when reading a novel written by Maas.

I thought the first book in the series was good but this one was great! Wonderful story development with helplessness at times that only fuels the main characters to push for success. Defenitely looking forward to the next one!!!!

I have read all of the books written by this author and her ability to create strong female characters is mesmerizing. She portrays true emotional struggle and turmoil through hardship that has just left me dumbfounded.

I thought my head was going to explode at the sheer brilliance of Sarah J. Maas! I love all of her books and this one is no exception. Never would I have expected any of the twists and turns that came when I started this book last night. I don't know how I'm going handle the wait for the next book without going crazy!!

I loved this book. Everything about it was so intricately written, from facial expressions to outfits to any one of Feyre's attempts not to smile at Rhysand. I sped through this book, I loved it so much. I feel deeply for these characters and I am HIGHLY ANTICIPATING the 3rd book. CAN NOT WAIT <3

I have no complaints. I love this book. It's quite possibly my favorite. Sarah J. Maas 's writing is so eloquent and captivating her story comes to life. Though most people have a problem with the sexual content, claiming there's a LOT of sex scenes. It only takes up 4% of the book or more specifically 27 pages. And it's true those scenes are inappropriate for really young readers but not for young adults. Sex is a reality and Sarah J. Maas doesn't push it to the side like other Authors and I respect her for that. Highly recommended this book.

This book has a number of graphic scenes that are more appropriate for adults than for teens. Why does Ms. Maas need to expose teens to adult bedroom stuff? Why not leave the teens innocent for a few more years? This, and Sarah Maas's other books, are definitely more adult than young adult. Other than that, this book was a good read and had a few nice surprises along the way.

"A huntress with an artist's soul" and a "dark, fallen Prince" in the land of night become part of a new alliance developed to stop a terrible king. Feyre has defeated Amarantha and been remade, but her fiery spirit burns deeper within her than Tamlin can control or cage in the mansion at the Spring court. Only her regular excursions with Rhysand, and her snarky railings at him, offer much release. And Feyre soon discovers that Rhys is not who he pretends to be with the rest of the world. He holds a great secret which he suffered terrible things to protect, and though his feistiness is sincere, more of what he has done to Feyre has been to save or aid her than what she ever knew. A Court of Mist and Fury surpasses the first novel as new truths come to light and characters are revealed to be more complex, broken, and beautiful than we first imagined. It is filled with clever, delightful revelations and is a tribute to the stars and those who wish on them, and the dreams that are answered. I was unable to put this book down until my eyes crossed and I was no longer able to focus another word. Unbelievableable the power this writer has with her work. After reading A Court of Thorns and Roses and not finding an available copy of this second book anywhere at any library nearby, I simple had to buy it with Nook Book. Figuring to myself, 'I cannot imagine how a writer could possibly follow up with a second book and do justice to the storyline or characters¿, just figured it would pale by comparison.' I must say, I was so moved by the action, the glory, the emotion, adventure and the twists and turns in such a way, the first book pales by comparison, and It was an amazing book to say the least. These two books, I truly believe to be the best books I have ever read in my life. It left me wanting more, more....More! I want to suggest if your going to read the series beginning with the first book, 'Thorns and Roses' do it early in the morning and not late at night. Incredibly, it will be first light in the morning before your able to put it down ...If even that soon. Magic, doesn't feel like a fantasy when your in this book. It comes to life within it's pages in ways only the reader can know. I recommend this book and it's predeceding book at the highest level of recommendation there is. I feel my life has forever been touched by this writers gift of the story. Thank you Sarah Maas!

Excellent book, but the recommendation of 14-17 yrs is a bit young for the racy material, if you ask me.
